I'm just starting to get into extensions, and have really only tried the clip in kind. I've been hearing about halos and I've heard about glue ins and sew-ins. Are there others? Which have you tried or prefer and why?

I've never tried extensions, because until a year or two ago, I had hair down past my tailbone (got drunk one night, chopped it off) however, I am growing it back out now.

Tape-in extensions are a thing but I've heard very mixed reviews about them, and apparently, they can fall out quite easily, which would not be the best look in public. Just walking along the street, "Oh ma hair!"

I used to get braid-in extensions when I was a kid. They looked nice, but I always seemed to get a stylist who was heavy handed and would braid my hair too tightly. I'd have to down painkillers and at the end of the braids' lifespans, my hair would...fall out because of how tightly it had been braided...

Extensions are not my thing. If I want long hair, I grow it out, if I want it short, I cut it short. Fake hair doesn't make sense to me.

1988 I read something about them went to several salons no one was doing them until I asked one stylist. I had to go buy my hair and she fishing wired them into super tight braids. Was the most painful thing I ever felt. Now I just grow my own hair. The hair alone in 1988 cost so much!
