When thunder rolls around
Lightning will soon follow
In a small and crazy town
A man made his bed of sorrow
Yet was he mad in his adventures
Or simply still searching the clouds
Looking for the one who brings lightning
Not the one with whom he made solemn vows
In the rainstorm of crowded thoughts
He searched and searched for more
Leaving behind his promised rainbow
In his lustful ventures his groin roared
What he needed was flashes of fire
Not peaceful romantic streams
He craved to devour his prey
Not just to make them cream
With a rod so stiff for battle
He searched for the one unseen
They hid among the thunder
Waiting for the lightning beam
What he saw beyond the clouds
Was another rod made of power
Reaching for what called him closer
Lost in this confusing rain shower
What he needed wasn’t another flower
He needed to feel ravished and sore
Taking what the gods have gifted him
Another man with a delicious sword
So when you hear the thunder rolling
Soon you’ll see the flash of light
In this moment another releases
The hidden desires pulling in the night
