Thank you for the interest. Just want to rectify some of the common misconceptions. It is only in some parts of India, Nepal and the Vietnams that the horn is believed to be an aphrodisiac. The rest of the east use it to cure fevers. The major market is the Yemen as dagger handles. Placing rhino in other countries has been done, they get poached there too. Even horns in museums in Europe are being targeted. Removing horns, impregnating them with toxins, 24 hour armed guards, shooting perpetrators, and other methods being used with little success. How do you educate half the global population away from a traditional belief when they havent even succeded to educate them to read or write? The war continues...

Thank you for the suggestions, the trouble is we dont have time to educate such a mass of people. At the present rate, rhinos have 5 years, tigers less than a year.

Now that the Javan, Sumatran and Indian rhinos are pretty much non-existant, the two African species are being targeted. South Africa is losing a rhino a day. Despite long jail terms and a shoot to kill poachers policy, the losses continue. Any ideas?
