Sure, I catch some women looking. Maybe not at my boobs though. They're usually harder to notice as, generally, they're much more discreet about it.

Topic Smoking: Turn on or off?
Posted 16 Apr 2014 16:11

the majority of them never manage to quit during pregnancy, either.

Man, that is such bullrubbish.

Anywho, seeing a bloke smoking doesn't make my legs turn to jelly but it doesn't turn me off either. I'd guess that would be the same for a lot of smokers though, maybe. Personally, I've always found the smell of fags oddly comforting....but then my old man smoked. Maybe that says more than it should, haha! My 2 cents

Topic how do you define .........
Posted 16 Apr 2014 15:55

Hmm, rock hard abs, chiselled features, at least six four, good head of hair, tanned...evil4

Haha, you know thinking about it what I really find sexy is; a man who knows his own worth and doesn't settle anything less. Yeah, that kind of inner strength, strong sense of self etc. I think that kind of countenance is naturally a part of someone who takes care of themselves and likes to look good - hey, yeah I'm a bit shallow I guess.

Sometimes though, it's just as sexy to watch a bloke prat around, play fight, banter, joke around, get punchy with his mates. Seeing someone relaxed and uninhibited is usually a treat.

Topic Hard alcohol, yay or nay?
Posted 08 Dec 2013 16:08

I don't understand hard alcohol quite honestly. It costs a pretty penny, and you seriously have that big acquired taste. The price can really start to get up there, and people keep buying the stuff, I don't get it.

Yay.

If I'm spending good money on a nice whiskey, I'm not drinking it to get bladdered, I maybe have one or two measures (okay, so they may be pretty large) over ice in an evening. It's pure pleasure and I just love the taste.I look at it in a similar way to buying perhaps a really expensive food item like a good quality caviar. Now, some people spend far more than a pretty penny on this kind of stuff but it's for personal enjoyment and a nice way to treat yourself.

I believe in romance but isn't it a little bit too gushing?dontknow

If it's natural and sincere, they can be some of the loveliest things to hear for both men and women.

I don't think it's just men who struggle to voice their feelings, I think women do just as much sometimes. At least I do - I've always struggled hearing comments like that. I'm very quick to mock a guy who gets all "mushy" as I so lovingly put it and would usually respond with some sarcastic comment or pretend to throw up. Maybe that's something I need to work on? Topic Should kids in the untied states have to say the pledge of alligence in school
Posted 07 Dec 2013 14:33

I'm not overly fussed either way - but then I'm British.

As an outsider I see the pledge as one of those traditions that it's always good to have. It's indicative of the ideals the country was built on and it is a way to unite everyone even in a place a small as a classroom.

I really hope this doesn't come across as belittling the pledge because that isn't my intention!

Topic Hugging technique
Posted 24 Nov 2013 03:00

Well, I hadn't really given too much though to how I hug until now.

Personally, I nearly always hug people by reaching round their waist/mid-section but then, I'm pretty short and it's sometimes a real stretch to reach round the neck.
For people I know intimately, I'll hug them round their neck, but, in those cases I know I'm going to be picked up and hugged hard. icon_biggrin

Hugging, for me, is a platonic gesture. I'd agree with John C by saying it's the extra little things that can say a lot more - like giving someone's hip a squeeze/stroking their back/nuzzling into their chest etc.

Seems I'm the total opposite thus far. I love long hair, dreads, curly hair, afros, ponytails...the list goes on.
It does take the right kind of guy to pull it off though.

Topic Should we trust in love?
Posted 07 Nov 2013 15:34

I think our ability to love has to be one of the only redeeming features of mankind. We do such awful things to one another but love, in all its forms, is a really beautiful thing to both witness and feel. (Jeez, I must sound so bleeding slushy!)

I would go a step further than allfours in that not only do I think we all possess the ability to love, it is hardwired into us. I don't even think it's an option and I don't think we can cease to believe in it - however much we may want to and tell ourselves we have.

Getting your heart broken makes you toughen up. Put up defenses. Makes you less inclined to open yourself up to someone. But that's just so...human, isn't it? It's instinctive to protect yourself to ever feeling "that way" again.
Once that passes though and it does, eventually (I'm sure the time frame is different for everyone though) another part of our nature is to recover, to persevere, to take risks and make yourself vulnerable again.

At the end of the day, finding love and falling in love with the right person is a feeling like no other. This is why I think we're willing to be hurt time and time again. Sooner or later, opening your heart pays off in the best possible way.

(Will someone please pass the sick bucket?)
