Well said Buz and welcome Chelsea. We don't judge here at Lush. You are as welcome here as anyone else. I for one am looking forward to hearing some of your stories, if you decide to become one of our authors.

What I try to do is to make my poems tell a story and my stories poetic. I read many more poems than stories because I'm very interested in how people express themselves poetically.

I would add to that, poetry is more demanding of the writer, than prose. One can write a story, and get away with some verbosity, and diversions down a parallel train of thought. In a good poem, there is not one syllable that is superfluous. Every word has meaning, and contributes to the whole to such an extent that if changed, or removed, something in the meaning or mpact of the poem would be lost.

Poetry is the most personal of art forms but if you intend your poems to be read by others, then you should probably give them something substantial to chew on and digest.

I advocate use of punctuation, yes, good old fashioned commas, full stops and caps etc. Grammar too belongs to all genres of English unless you really don't want people to understand what the fuck you're talking about. This will give your poem structure and, dare I say, will mean that other authors will take you seriously.

Subjects for poems are many but for me there is only one great theme - love, sex, desire, lust, lushness and the sublime enigma that is woman.

I have had many great conversations here where sex was not even touched upon. It's safe to say that many new members are reluctant to talk about sexual matters or to cyber early on.

While I believe we live under what is called 'the Nanny State' here in Australia, with far too many laws, rules and regulations; I for one have no problem with acohol free beaches. I've seen some pretty ugly scenes at beaches here in South Australia in the past. I felt very happy taking my son for a swim today and being surrounded by families, groups of teens having fun and people just enjoying the sun and surf - and not a drunken yob in sight.

Yep, nothing particularly new about this. The ancient Maya used to give themselves alcohol ememas. As with most of their customs, this was a ritual and they considered intoxication to be a gift from the gods.

Women's asses certainly get my attention. The ass is a very sensitive part of the body and needs to be treated gently and with respect. But if stimulated in the right way it can add a whole new dimension to love making for both women and men.

I've never actually had anal sex with my current partner but gently teasing, stretching, rubbing and fingering then rimming her seems to turn her on and does the trick.

Back in Shakespeare's day a 'slut' was quite simply a female dog. But once the term became too closely associated with ladies of easy virtue the Victorians changed the term for a female dog to 'bitch.' And the rest as they say is history.

I agree with Crazydiamond, only the medium differs. But there are as many poor tattoos as there are poor artworks out there. I don't like too many tats eg Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox but one or two nicely designed ones can be very sexy.
