Topic Should obese people be classified as disabled?
Posted 07 Mar 2013 02:35

I don't wish to appear insulting to those who are obese through no fault of their own - they are in a small minority.

As someone who isn't a qualified person to make this call, I highly doubt you should be trying to give a ballpark range of who is worthy of your respect for being incidentally fat.

Obesity is a serious issue, it effects us all on a global level.

I'm sorry, but to me this is like someone saying that they're against gay marriage because it'll ruin their own personal relationship with his/her spouse. How does someone else being fat really cause harm to you? It doesn't. End of.

There doesn't seem to be enough being done about it. Education is the key... Kids should be taught about nutrition in classes. They should be told that being 100 Kg at the age of 16, is incredibly unhealthy. Have after school fat camps if necessary.

As someone who went through the US education system, I can assure you that education is not the key. They teach about calorie intake, output, and the food pyramid not only in TV shows for kids, but they also start putting it into the curriculum about 6th grade. And guess what? It doesn't stop people from getting fat because honestly, how many people don't know that being obese is bad for their health? I can assure you that almost no one above the age of 7 is gonna think that it's a good thing. Not only that, but most of the time, people don't even know the difference between being obese and being fat, even if they are the ones spouting off how simple it is to lose weight, because all it is is someone eating all day, non-stop.

Being obese could be caused by someone eating only one meal a day; some people are still obese even after working out for three hours for 5 days a week (if you want to fight me over the facts of my life, please try me), and a lot of the times, it's caused by stress, or because it was actually passed down to them from one of their parents http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/10/fat-genes-obesity-ucla-study-diet-exercise_n_2450108.html

... putting them up for ridicule and for entertainment value like that, is obscene

Back to the original question: as CoopsRuthie said, if they can't perform the functions, then yes, they are disabled; otherwise, they aren't.

Topic Ok to breastfeed someone else's baby?
Posted 14 Jan 2013 08:19

The idea doesn't really bother me. At the end of the day, breast milk is beneficial for the kid. Knowing that nannies in the medieval times would breast feed a higher ups newborn, I don't really see the big no-no about it; if it wasn't found to be bad then, I dont see how it would change now unless you count chemicals in which the breast feeder puts in her body. If that's what she's worried about-- that the baby sitter is drinking or eating something harmful-- then isnt she implying that the baby sitter's kid is also in danger?

Maybe she felt as if she was being replaced? Or that she was trying to steal her child and that's why she thinks her friend was over bounds? I know that that's what I would be worried about.

Of course she may just be over-reacting because the kid is her responsibility and she wants everything to be in her control to diminish variables and ensure that she's a fitting parent.

Topic Hotel California!!

I used to think about it when I was younger, but I even think about those having sex whom I wish would never take their clothes off; those tend to stand out in my mind moreso than the few who manage to turn me on.

Though it does stay on my mind, I don't really want to join in on the historical cum-list

Topic No longer sexy..
Posted 01 Nov 2012 02:07

Maybe he just has something on his mind? Or, he may feel that you're more interested in sex than having a relationship with him? The more you come hard at him, the more you might be driving him away; at least, that's the way it seems.

I suggest having a real heart-to-heart talk with him and finding out the real problem since he's the one you're in a relationship with; I know you've tried talking to him before, but I think you need to remind him that communication between the two of you is what's gonna keep the relationship going and that right now the relationship needs a bit of communication. Sometimes, people need that to snap them back into reality from whatever is distracting them.
And honestly, a lot of guys aren't that interested in sex. Maybe your bf is like this? I know a lot of guys who were never really into being intimate, but has he always been this way? If so, then why are you expecting him to suddenly change?

It's a number of things that you should consider and bring to him in conversation. Just remember to come from a place of hurt and not from a place of aggression and accusations.

Topic Do women dislike or resent the use of the slang "Cunt"?
Posted 11 Jul 2012 23:08

i see nothing wrong with the word-- words hold no meaning until we put context to them. Even if someone uses cunt to try and degrade me, I don't mind it because it's like saying the word "bitch." Nothing worse or less than that, honestly.

Topic Would you be turned off if you were stronger than your man?
Posted 04 Jul 2012 22:41

I don't mind being stronger. In my current relationship, I think we're at the same strength-- or at least close to each other. To me, dominating isn't an important part of sex, because I'm lazy so that kind of effort just doesn't seem necessary to get off. But because I get hyped up when I feel like I'm "one of the boys," or just strong enough to give them a run for their money, I'm positive that I would get turned on by being stronger for a little while.
As for the arm wrestling... I can imagine getting turned on from the competition, but not being already in the mood and then wanting to arm wrestle. I hope that makes sense >.<

Topic Do chicks dig scars ???
Posted 07 May 2012 18:57

Scars are pretty cool looking in general. The only thing that makes a scar disgusting/ a turn off is if the scar was from self-harm. Everyone has a history, but there's no reason to be turned on by the extreme hurt they had way back when.

Seeing the making of scars isn't sexy either...

Topic The worst thing a guy has done on a date with u?
Posted 30 Jan 2012 09:45

The rudest thing a guy has done to me while we were on a date would have to be when I was on the first date with this couple. The last time they had seen me, I hadn't brushed my hair in any other way than a bun, no make-up, drabby clothes--- i was not prepared to pick anyone up. Unfortunately, he noticed that I put make-up on and had my hair shining and everything, which he says. "You've gotten hotter since the last time I saw you. Oh, you wore make-up? {Turns to gf of 7 years} Why didn't you wear any make-up?" And then continued to call me the "new, shiny" toy/thing the rest of the day.

Topic red head men...hot or not???
Posted 30 Jan 2012 09:33

I don't prefer any hair color over the others. I can say that I prefer hair though.

Some men just look good, some don't-- hair won't save them from my lack of interest. Hair only adds highlight to the features I already like.

Topic Lush "etiquette"
Posted 25 Jan 2012 09:26

I would suggest that you separate the stories here from the authors. Don't assume that because someone has written a hot story, they're prepared spend their Lush time getting you (a perfect stranger) off privately.

Read a members profile. Respect it.

This goes along perfectly with what I'm adding in-- Don't assume you know someone based off their stories, forum posts, or anything else. The only acceptable place to truly learn about someone is in their bio. Especially if you're calling the person a "sex addict" when the person you're accusing might not be a sex addict. Many people are extremely open about their virginity-- some have it in their usernames while others simply state it. Never assume anything and then throw it in someone's face as if you're right.

Another one is: If you open a chat randomly, have the decency to start out with a "hello" before continuing.

All of the above and in addition, if you post a story and write about it in your status, I don't see the need to send an email and then an online message directly asking me if I have read your story.

Couldn't have said it better myself

Topic I feel like getting a bit racial.
Posted 24 Jan 2012 22:44

Preference doesn't mean that one is simply eliminating all other options, but that one is liked more.
i.e. "I prefer black men because I like them more," is different than "I prefer black men because they are the only thing I like," is that "like them more" still shows that you like other races; this point in the topic being is that "preference," along with its connotations, are being grossly misjudged and construed.

That being said, if Summa would like to actually provide how she defines racism, the conversation would probably go better. Seeing as how most people don't like to be shot down randomly for something they don't see the same on, the majority of people will turn to a definition; this was already done, however, and it was not corrected by Summa, the one who brought up racism blatantly. My question is this: where are we supposed to look to find what racism means according to Summa? As of now-- and, yes, I've read this entire thread, through-- Summa is the only person who has yet to provide a definition of racism while shooting down every example and definition that has been given. At this point, it's equivalent to a math teacher (Summa, in this case) telling everyone (the rest of lush) is doing an equation incorrectly without showing the students why, how, and/or where they are messing up. All this leaves is headache and anger. Expecting everyone to magically agree with you about racism without knowing how you're defining it is quite a feat that leaves everyone to direct their anger towards you when you are the one who brought the accusations to light. It's ridiculous to believe that people will randomly side with you on a subject/topic when you are not fully explaining it to them.

In the traditional views, this thread is not racist. In the view of Summa, whatever that may be, it is.

That being said, I prefer nothing. I'm used to white men only because they pursue me more often than anyone else-- including gender, not even touching on their sexuality. Do I think that they're better? Nope. Do I prefer them? Nope. Am I used to them? Yup.

Topic How long does it take you to write a story?
Posted 13 Jan 2012 09:44

If I'm really interested in the story that I came up with, I'll write it in an hour, give or take, and those are all my Busy Daughter stories. My last story took 4 months to write just because I wouldn't sit down and write it out. It just depends on how quickly one writes. I'm one who doesn't do drafts, because I recheck what I've written as I'm writing constantly. It's actually a hindrance haha I'm sure mine would be much better if I were to actually check mine over >.>
