I'm boring...36% Hubby is 87
"The biggest jump in federal spending under Obama by far was the 2009 stimulus, which while technically on his watch, was approved by Congress and the previous President. I think it's safe to say there's a sizeable lag between dollars spent at a given time and a President's decision-making + congress's passage."Ummm.....anyone willing to provide some facts to back that statement up? Bush approved a 158 billion dollar bipartisan package in 2007. In 2009 Obama approved 787 billion dollar package. He tried for another 447 billion in 2011 (I think) but congress shot him down and it got turned into the american jobs act as we know it today at a price tage of over 450 billion. If my math is correct, our government spent 1 1/2 trillion dollars on stimulus and job creation in the past 5 years.
Probably the worst first post ever! lolI would like to suggest google "Micheal Moore; why Romney will win in November" For those that don't know, Mr. Moore is very very liberal. My suggestions to voters1) Educate YOURSELF by turning off Fox news and MSNBC and turn on CSPAN. Ignore all the Romney and Obama Commercials, 90% is spin on both sides.2) Read or at least skim the health care reform bill, the latest one, the one that doesn't reform health care but reforms health insurance.3) Learn what an Actuary is and what they think will happen to our health care system between 2014 and 2020.4) Learn what happens when you tax the upper middle class (small business owners) more than the middle class.5) Learn what the very wealthy pay in taxes and compare it to what the average person pays. Not in percentages but in dollars.6) Learn who pays taxes and who doesn't pay any federal tax.7) Learn about where most of our goods come from. (Oil, food, clothing, ect..) and how these imports are taxed. Pay attention to China and their relationship with North Korea.8) Learn how the national debt works and who we owe this money to. As of today, It's around $16 trillion or $50,000 per taxpayer. I was fooled once but I wont allow someone to fool me again. I'm educating myself.
