Yeah, we (Lancashire) seem to have missed the worst of the bad floods, it seems to be centred further north in Cumbria.

It has been raining quite heavily and some roads have been closed due to fears that the rivers may burst, but nowhere near on the scale that some places have endured.

It always rains here anyway - it rains for nine months of the year and then drips off the trees for the other three!!

A chilly 47 degrees F here in Northern England.

As my dad used to say: It's cold enough to freeze the spherical appendages off a non-ferous mettalic anthropoid.

or in layman's terms... It's cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey!!
