I don't like any of the terms much- especially pussy- its a weird name. So, why use any? Writing can be enhanced if you simply describe it the way it is. Describe it according to the senses- touch, sight, etc and you could have a more interesting, meaningful story. A name too often is a shorthand to get to the point faster but perhaps its the one time you shouldn't be faster. If a word has to be used that isn't descriptive I like fanny but Americans are confused about that!
