Happiness is a warm gun.
While I like all of the above bands, my personal favourite would have to be The Smiths, followed closely by Joy Division/Warsaw, although my favourite song at the moment is 'I am the resurrection' by The Stone Roses.

Violet eyes Under sunlit skies Blink for silence, Kiss of violence. Ride the skyline On the neon nights A Glossy shine For something divine. Venus opens On the carnation, Calls your name From the end of the station. A long journey Across the milky way, But the sky is turning It’s here to stay. Bright lights A mask of dreams, Sexy sights Catch the screams. Black leather; Leads us...

She struts through the street light Stilletos and stockings leading her up to the sky, A strung up hero lays on the highrise, getting high Thinking about her first life, finally she got it right. Pulls of the wig, takes down her underwear, Makeup cleaned off but she still leaves her stilletos on. Walks over to the mirror, the stars and moon gone, Something she doesn’t want is still...

Everyone’s competing for a love they don’t really need, A love they won’t receive. Climb to the top of the tower and reach for her hair Russian Rapunzel sleeps in peace, shattered glass beside the final stair. Some days I can just watch you Lay on the couch resting in peace, Living a dream in my record machine, Emanating Fur Elise. A lovely Garland sits in your hair Of white lilies,...

We’ll play cards together, Until the bad man comes Why don’t we slip into the moon? Does it still feel so soon? Hear a knock on the door It’s only the fairy I called upon, In a blue haze. A wish was promised to me To drift out into the dark ocean with you Never turn back Never see the sun Bend our necks back and disappear Swim into what we don’t know. Deep, Swim Deep Never call upon the...

I can see your ribs baby, can you see mine? Skinny together from the beginning of time, Sunlight between your thighs True love doesn’t deal in power, corruption and lies. Sitting with you, I have never felt more alone. The world can stay away, We breathe as one Like the failure of a new born son The world awaits A cruel but destined fate, We weren’t raised in gold and silk Won’t eat...

The devil comes knocking at my door, Asking me to dance. Let's go dancing in the cemetery, Like we did in days past. Stumbling out of the front door Hand in hand we waltz down to the gates, A soft kiss; planted on my cheek; My soul now in the balance of fates. Holding the ice cold steel in my hand I gaze into dances of once before, Grasping air in the other In the gaze of the...

Follow me to the swimming pool You will be mine Beneath and above Drown in our own love Swim through lanes Fly through me Look and see The moon shines on my side In cars We can ride to the stars It’s only up How hard can it be? Some day I will buy you a ring That bright shiny thing If only because it is what we expect That you would look lovely in a white dress Don’t need today Just...
