A tale of three mes. The first, a dumb hick kid from Texas quits school, joins the Marines, gets out (honorable), becomes country music DJ. The second, Mensa dropout. The third, a confused dumb hick from Texas, Mensa dropout, writing liberal letters to the editor of the local conservative newspaper, teaching Sunday School and writing incognito (using my real name? Told you I was still dumb!) dirty perverted...nee "erotic"...stories online. Some of the stories are pure fantasy, things I wish would happen. And some of the stories are recollections of being an all night DJ.

Tired old eyes don't read much anymore, but.... Anything by; Kurt Vonnegut, Hermann Hesse, the Four Gospels (no that's not a singing group! Dang!) Albert Einstein, Charles Dickens, "The Tao of Physics" by Fritjof Capra, "Zen in the art of motor cycle maintenance" by Persig and finally "Travels with Charley" by Steinbeck and "The Blue Hiways" by William Least Heat Moon.

Favorite Movies:

2001, a space odyssey (I hope this thing has spell checker!), Casablanca and Chicago, Paths of Glory, and recently The Reader. Not to forget Waking Ned Devine! Oh and..ahem..."Powder" a disney movie from the 90s. Okay, okay, I was in it, I confess. About 40 minutes in, I'm the guy raking leaves and giving the character "Powder" dirty looks. On the screen all by myself...for a whole 3 seconds! No credits, though, so they didn't have to pay me more.

Favorite Music:

You'd think country. You'd be wrong. I love Irish music. Old timey Gospel music. Classical music. Klezmer, cajun, Mexican, German and Appalachian music (you tell me the difference, they all have the same roots.) Although my favorite country song is Jimmie Rogers' "Women make a fool out of me!" sung by Merle Haggard.
