Swan only have on partner for their life time . If one parter dies , the other one will live alone for the rest of their life or might even die in sadness . This was actually a myth some birds do pair for life, but swans can be re-paired it just takes them a while to get over the 'heart break'
Starlings can see in colour from one of their eyes and in UV from the other
