Posted 06 Oct 2012 08:17
I just tried out the new Lush Helpdesk, but really didn't find them very helpful...
Nobody would buy me a drink, nobody would loan me ten bucks...why do they call it a Help desk anyway?
You never told me you needed ten bucks!!!!
And for the drink I told you the drink room was further down the hall
But I'll remember to keep a sepcial martini bottle under my desk from now on in case you pop by (see how helpful I am? SEE??????)
Topic Religion, Bad or Good?
Posted 03 Oct 2012 09:00
Religion is a good thing. Let there be no doubt about it. I'm not saying that because I'm a religious fanatic that has a desire to convert everyone to my beliefs, but because in religion you can interpret it to a degree where everyone can fit in. Yes, the Old Testament may say that homosexuality is a sin, but it also says that those that work on the sabbath should be stoned. It may be the word of God, but it's still written by people. Don't take everything in the texts for granted, use some common sense.
Since I'm not well read on any religion and only have mediocre knowledge about my own(Christianity) I can't talk for how Judeism or Hinduism interprets things, but I know that Christianity(at least to me!) is not about following set rules, but following ethics and morals. Two of my more favourite things that can be found in the Bible, The Golden Rule; Do onto others as you wish others to do onto you and Jesus pretty much telling us not to judge people, that's up to God, are rules that pretty much everyone should be able to live by.
We judge too quick on what's right, whether it's sexuality, way of life or political beliefs or whatever.
Religion in itself is not bad. Usually it's all about what moral and ethical standard to follow. It's when you start using it as an excuse/reason for your actions(war and violence) or you convince people to go the conservative way because you want to oppress them(Iran is a great example of that), that's when things starts going to shit. Too many times do people blame religion, and not the actual problem, that is the priests, imams, rabbis and so forth.

Topic Why ask Lush Friends to comment on your pictures?
Posted 02 Oct 2012 06:45
It's a way to build confidence. People need to be told that they look good, even if it's from total stragers and even if the stranger is so filled with lies that that their pants are burning to a crisp.
And many of the people who actually comment is thinking "If I comment flattering words he/she will cyber with me." It is that simple. I comment on profiles and pictures if I really feel like it, but I don't think I've commented on more than a few pics because they deserved a comment.

If you could go back in time and meet the younger version of yourself, when would you go back to and what would you tell yourself?
Me, I'd go back to when I was around 12, pat myself on the back and say that the bullying would stop and that the bullies would end up with rather shitty lives.

Humiliating, yes, but there are worse ones out there. At least he hasn't disowned his daughter and can still say good things about her.
But it's still not good that he can't accept his daughter being a lesbian. Maybe he will with time.

We income tax is the percentage a person pays on their gross earnings. Federal withholding, Social Security, Medicare, and in some cases State withholding. The federal and state withholding is a percentage based on gross income, a person's tax bracket. SS and Medicare is the same for everyone regardless of what they make.
Every employee must pay into Social Security 8.4% of his wages. For Medicare an employee pays 2.9 % of wages. Where payroll tax comes into play is here. As an employee you are only responsible for half of that. Each check you get, you pay 4.2% to SS and 1.45% to Medicare. Your employer must match that contribution dollar for dollar. If you are self-employed, you're responsible for the entire percentage yourself. Btw, if the Bush era tax break is not renewed, the Social Security tax will go back up to 6.2%/12.4%.
So usually when you hear "payroll tax", it's a business or employer talking about the matching tax per employee that they're required to make. If you have a company with 100 employees and you have to pay an extra 2% of tax for each employee, that can add up to a lot of money.
And suddenly the Norwegian tax system became disgustingly easy....

Rockefeller my arse. They are all puppets playing the strings set by the new world order that is behind it all: The Knights of St. John. They've managed to trick everyone into believing it's the templars that are behind it all, but these nutters are the true rulers. No one really knows who they are, but they have every world leader in their pocket. These latest protest are all a small piece in their game to keep us all tricked. Bullshit. Common labor market, common investor market, common consumer market.
Why didn't they include common welfare policy? The answer to this is so simple that anyone with at least half a brain should be able to guess correctly. The member states wanted to stop losing capital, investors, workers, talent, skills, jobs, and business in general to the rest of the world. By adding competition for governance to the European mix, they achieved some control over the people who vote for more bread and circuses, and thereby achieved some success at retaining what societies need to remain competitive. Agreed?
No, the member states wanted a bigger market. I can't remember exactly the wording(on my phone so can't Google and shit) but it started out as The Steel and Coal union. It was all about free markets with no tolls to help their own companies grow bigger and get import and export without the toll that nations commonly use. The reason they started the whole "EU citizens can work everywhere in the EU" is because it's faster and easier to bring in workers from abroad. They want it quick.
You make EU sound like some sort of capitalistic utopia when in reality it is a beurocratic utopia. It breaks with many of the ideas of capitalism because of the constant subsidies that the push into their different industries. Many of them are very much dependant on government aid.

Where does this hatred for diversity of belief come from? Did the EU get it wrong when they didn't include centralization of benefits in their alliance?
Don't try to comparae the US to the EU. There are NO ways in them being similar. Are they heading in that direction? They have indeed headed towards being one country from the start of the trade union, but most countries want to make sure that it stays a union and not a federation. That's why the EU constitution got voted down. That's why many of the countries don't follow directives that are sent out by Brussels. Add the increasing annoyince amongst the richer countries, like Germany and especially the UK, for being stuck with the bill that the poorer countries give them. The EU is closer to falling apart and disintegrating than going in the direction of one federation atm. Don't forget that in summer there was a serious doubt wether the Euro would remain as a currency. Once you start debating having New Mexican Pesos and Lousiana Francs you can start drawing paralells between the US and the EU.

When I needed an authorname I thought I should roll on the fact that I was very far to the North, so I was deliviring Elit from North, hence the name.

Something else on the tape that was more worryingly than the other things he said; Basically going on record saying it would be helpful if he could have been branded as a Latino(grandparents were refugees from Mexico after the revoluntion there weren't all too friendly to mormons). He did what Obama didn't do; he pretty much pulled the race card, saying that Obama got helped to the victory from being black. Even if it's true, I find it concerning that he said so...

Batman
Total stealth is difficult to acheive and Bond would be more lost without his gadgets than Batman would be. Besides, Batman gets a calling with a large bat in the sky. Much more awesome than Bond. And Bond doesn't have super villains that he's up against in the same way that Batman has. Everyone needs an arch enemy. Bond's only arch enemy is his cock...
