Getting ready to pull down the tree and put away the decorations. Been pretty cold in Hong Kong so a trip to Bangkok is in order to warm the bones. My new story "Chamonix Chalet Fun" attracted a few readers, but I guess Christmas presents and the new iPad were more engaging. Wishing a great 2012 to all Lushees.

Okay I've submitted what was supposed to be my "Winter Contest" entry, except it's over 8,000 words...oops! Anyways, hope some of you like it. Should be up in a day or so.

Very sad to hear George Whitman died, but glad his daughter Sylvia will continue to honor his spirit at Shakespeare & Company. A truly great bookstore and I was fortunate enough to be there when David Eggers did his reading in 2009. If Joyce and Hemingway have ghosts anywhere then they are more likely to be found in the stacks here than anywhere else.

Just watched Darrell Hammond's interview on CNN and all I can say is WOW! Sometimes you wonder where artistic genius comes from and this shows how deep and searing the experience can be. As a writer this shows you need to dig deeper and be truthful.

Congratulations to the President of Penn State for taking responsibility and resigning. FINALLY someone in America takes responsibility. CEO's of banks and huge companies sent the world into a tailspin and granted themselves bonuses: not a single resignation. The USA government bailed them out and never asked the boards and executives to resign (thanks Bush). NOW someone resigns and it's over sex? So the message is you can send millions out of work and get a bonus, but you better report sex abuse!

Just learned about the winter writing contest, but since Sprite is entering I'm going back to my sofa to relax with a glass of 1990 Lynch Bages. My first BDSM submission so far.
