I just recently spent quite a piece on some new lingerie. I adore the stuff, Julianna Rae, but I really couldn't afford it. How many others get buyer's remorse like this?

Try to look at it as an investment. If you look good and feel good in it ,then its worth the money .

I used to get expensive lingerie and just wind up wearing them for photoshoots, so yeah... it can seem wasteful after the fact. I gave some of them to subs, back when I was a Domme in my twenties. Now that I'm in a position where I can afford more things like expensive lingerie, I've lost interest! LOL

Does marriage count?

Yup. Bought a beautiful Hugo Boss suit many years ago - navy blue, double-breasted, Italian silk. Looks awesome! Not until after it was fitted and paid for, did my gf, at the time, tell me that she was angry that I had paid so much for the suit.

Funny thing, I still have and love my suit.

When buying something pricey--house, car, laptop, phone--I compare prices and features obsessively precisely SO I don't get buyer's remorse.

I have NEVER had buyer's remorse buying lingerie. smile

I don't really do fancy lingerie. Did spend too much on a delay pedal once and then found one for 1/4 the price that I liked just as much. smile

I'd love it if you read my story for the Notorious Competition.

buyer's remorse was something i was plagued with after getting my first real job. once i was finally making decent money, i'd spend, spend and spend some more! however, when i moved out of my apartment and noticed BAGS of 'stuff' that i never bothered with again after getting it home - i had to take stock of why i was doing that. since then i've become a minimalist and it's no longer an issue.

Say. Her. Name.

There has been the odd time in which I have regretted a purchase afterwards

For the past few months I’ve been using Instagram and been using the site to post my photography . Here’s the link to my profile

I don't buy something if I can't afford it or if it'd mess up my budget that being said, i have brought items before that had high ratings but was disappointed in the quality. As for feeling buyers remorse because you bought an item you couldn't really afford, I d suggest next time saving up for it that way you won't feel bad when you make the purchase or if you can't wait to do so, try rearranging some finances, maybe instead of going out to movies that month, use the money for the item you wanted instead etc.

Only time I have buyer's remorse is when I buy some clothes just for the fuck of it, like on a sale or a piece I just genuinely like then never find a way to incorporate it with the clothes I already have. Drives me nuts.

Sometimes you can rationalize away the expense.
You need new panties.
The cheapest panties you would be caught dead in are 10 dollars.
The fancy panties are 30 dollars.
Well... you know you are definitely going to be spending 10 dollars, no matter what. So the fancy panties are only an additional 20 dollars.
Bargain!

Then you can use 'per-wear' cost mitigation. 30 bucks per wear the first time, 15 bucks the second, ten bucks the third. etc. The more you wear them the cheaper they become. Eventually, the comparative cost between the cheap panties and the fancy panties per-wear is nickels.

Also, there is the feel-good factor. If you slip into a pair of fancy panties and feel like a million bucks... you're 999,980 dollars to the good.

(Example numbers. I have no idea how much panties cost.)
