It's been the scariest and longest episode of Black Mirror in history.

This president divided the whole world, the West, and most importantly, his own country: half of USA voters declared to be OK with a lying scumbag who also happened to be an anti-scientist, a racist, a fascist, a bigot, a misogynist, a disrespectful and despicable human being.

Biden has so much work to do, but the rest of the world will keep spinning. Is the USA still capable of leading and guiding us?

Jesus, take a day off. We've got enough bloody threads about which old white guy is the worst. Just have a laugh at the funny videos.

Does your new president being an idiot mean your old one wasn't? Seems to be America's type.

From back when comedians actually had to be funny instead of just saying,"Trump bad!" and waiting for applause. What will they do now, since we know they won't make fun of Dementia Joe - even on the rare occasions his handlers let him out in public for an hour or two before calling a LID?

Love them BLM flags as your signature, @clum!!!!!! smile

And @stormdog, four years ago you must have been among the ones who "Can't dem just accept the election of Donald Trump, instead of insulting?"

I'd love to know why you're so feeling entitled to insult your new President, instead of focusing on the temper tantrum of your leader. Cause you know, Hillary Clinton made a concession speech, back then. And I'm still waiting for Trump's one.

The same way the vast majority of folks here take a day off of bashing Trump and his supporters constantly? Sorry, but your double standards are showing.

And BTW, I respond only out of respect for you, as I really don't give a crap what anybody from other countries thinks of our politics or our political leaders and generally just ignore them. In the parlance of the old breakfast joke, you're not only not the pig, you're not even the chicken

Nothing says respect like intolerance for foreigners.

Intolerance and simply not giving a shit are hardly the same thing. I don't give a flying fuck about the politics and leadership of your country because I don't have to live under whatever idiocy they might come up with.

In the same vein, I simply don't care what your opinion of ours is. Please don't try to use the leftist tactic of twisting language on me, because it won't work. You mistakenly conflate intolerance with benign indifference; if that floats your boat, more power to you.

Nothing says respect like not giving a shit about the conditions under which other people live because it doesn't directly affect you.

You prove my point; sounds to me like maybe people should focus more on the leadership of their own (apparently) miserable countries than harping on America all the time. A little more thought and effort focused inward might alleviate some of the abhorrent "conditions" you reference.

Miserable and abhorrent are your words. Conditions are pretty good in Scotland, and a poll published last month shows that 72% of the population is satisfied with our leader's performance. So we can probably afford a bit of focus and sympathy for those living in countries with idiotic leaders, like yourself.

Who says I was referencing Scotland - were you, when you when you mentioned the "conditions" others had to live under? If so, you must not be very happy there. Polls published here showed that 56% of people felt they were better off than they were 4 years ago, despite the China virus pandemic; absent that, the number would have surely been much higher. We'll do fine without you tearing your hair out and shedding crocodile tears, but thanks anyway.

The astonishing thing is that anyone attaches their hopes and dreams to a guy who (should he ultimately become President - and, with far less likelihood given his dementia, serve a full 4-year term) will have been suckling at the public teat for over half a century with NOTHING to show for it. Zero signature accomplishments to point to in 47 years!!! (So far.)

He's trying to play on the Obama "change" mantra - a little tougher to do for a leech that's been in DC for almost 50 years. He IS the poster boy of the establishment that put in place all of the "systemic" and "institutional" issues that you decry. And yet, you somehow think he'll accomplish anything positive now...
