A neighbor who pauses from raking his leaves to wave hello as you pass by.
The wind at night rushing through the trees, the comforting wooooosh a lullaby at night. Waking up in the early morning, before the sun, a smattering of rain hitting the tin roof over the porch and tapping out little songs.
The one family that can't wait and puts up Christmas lights early, the little lights sparkling in the fog.
Oh, the fog.
