Any chance there could be something in place to cap the amount of gifs visible on a profile page. I get that some people like them and like to put them on ALL OF THEIR FRIENDS profiles but in some instances it's getting beyond a joke Check out what this joker did to this girl's profile... 50 gifs in just four posts in the space of about 10 minutes! Thinking for anyone on a mobile device or with download limits, do they really need to be faced with more than 30Mb of download just for opening a profile page? I attempt to send thank you messages to everyone who comments on my stories, so is it possible to have a drop down box from the person's name on the actual story comment? It would open up right to the message box and have their name autopopulated. Just seems like it would save a few steps. I guess it could have the other normal dropdown options as well for add a friend and send online message, but I'm not really interested in those. I thought this used to happen, but maybe had to change for some reason.

For a person to see her friend's comments you need to be a friend of hers. I think it'd be good to limit the picture posting to one picture /comment.

I think the commenting should be improved. User should know when they got comment and the other user should be notified when they get a comment

Edit: I have another request/suggestion as far as activity feed. Is it possible to bold or in some other way highlight when a friend publishes a new story? They seem to get lost in my activity feed among forum threads and other things. Maybe give it a book icon that's really dark? I think it would be great if they stood out a bit more. I know I can click on that header to see who has posted what, but I never do. It would just be nice to see them at a glance when I look at my activity feed or visit a friend's page.

Please, please, please change the sound the black box makes!!! You know, the box used when somebody sends an "online message". I have no problem with any of the other sounds on this site (I actually kind of like them, especially the chat rooms sound ), but that one is 1) just an annoying sound, and 2) seems to be turned up really, really loud. I will be listening to music or watching a youtube video on my computer at a normal volume, and then that black box comes and it blasts me out. Plus, it can be heard throughout the house, so I am waiting for somebody to ask "What is that sound I keep hearing from your room" and I'll have to choose between telling the truth or lying, neither which sounds terribly appealing. Anyways, thanks for listening. I will give out 10 e-hugs for anyone who can get this done. Or if you want, you can trade in your hugs for 5 E-skimo kisses

I'd love to see this sound changed. It is so loud, it almost hurts my ears. I listen to music and wear headphones and it's so LOUD. I also like the chat-room sound.. c: It's so cute..

I completely agree!! I generally use headphones too and the black box sound is almost painfully loud. I don't really mind the sound in general, just how loud it is. I'll add my E-skimo kisses to the offer as well :)

I think you should make it a sneeze sound, that would be much easier to talk my way out of!

I don't know if it's been mentioned already or some similar....
If someone has used the “quote” button to reply in the forum, I believe it would be fruitful for everyone if we could get an alert on our profile.. or after we sign on.

The option to use blockquote ( cite ) as a formatting option on stories would be nice.
It's something I use frequently for letters included in stories, flashbacks, dream sequences, etc. It allows you to set off the text as something different, but causes less eyestrain than italics, and is less intrusive than centering.
Obviously, you wouldn't want the box that surrounds a quote here on the forum, but the offset from both margins is perfect for the sort of things I described above.
The story that just posted today is a perfect example. All the sections in italics and centered in Documentary: Cougar are places I would have used blockquote, if it was available.

Can we have our own avatar gallery Crazydiamond created a lovely new one for me for New Year but it means i have to save my existing one locally to upload it again when i want to change it back. It would be better if it worked like yahoo or msn where you upload them to a gallery first then select whichever av you then want at the time Warning: The opinions above are those of an anonymous individual on the internet. Is there an option to receive notification if someone posts in a thread you previously posted in or has responded directly to one of your comments?

This isn't actually something I'd like to see added but rather, something brought back. Until last month, if you were online and selected a story to read, the red line under the title of the story would turn gray. It made it easier to find where you left off the next time you logged in and started to scan for stories to read. What happened to this feature? Can it be brought back?

There are a lot of posts and I didn't read them all, sorry... way too many. So if this was already asked, I apologize. When you send someone the "please ad me" request, could it be coded to allow you to go back to their profile page? Or did I miss something?

I'd like to have a page that tracks the changes to feedback on your stories since your last visit or over the course of a specific time period, like a day or week. Ideally, it'd be nice to have it say who commented on what story, and how many new votes each story got, and the change in average score, but even just having a way to see which stories are getting votes and increasing their score without checking the whole list each time and keeping manual track would really be amazing. I have my emails set up so that I get an email for each comment, so that's not a problem, but I think it'd be convenient for others.

A "LIKE" button for posts would be nice, so you can show approval of a post without having to MAKE one saying so.
