this argument has as much basis as claiming horror movies turn us into cannibals or program babysitters to be submissive to men in masks. It's silly. The fact is violent crime is down at a time where we are surrounded by violent video games, sales are soaring and triple aaa titles sell millions of copies the first day they're released, yet there's no increase in crime linked to gaming. if games had an effect we'd be seeing statistics explode among youths in recent years, violent crimes are down and game sales aren't..
as I said in another post none of those studies show any link to violent crimes, and are biased against games. "Behavior" is speculation at best, when I watch an action movie I get revved up, when you watch horror you get scared, romantic movies make you feel warm and fuzzy or squeamish, yet I don't see sex addicts blaming Ryan goslings abs from crazy stupid love, murderers blaiming the movie zodiac. just as there's no proof videogames lead to any sort of violence, check out the federal crime statistics. The average gamer is about 35 and has been playing for at 15 least years, wouldn't there be a visible impact?
Playing shooters doesn't make you a marksman, playing adventure platformers doesn't make you a gymnast, but I will concede one thing to you..

I don't really give a damn about your competitions or which is the most powerful. I just want to be able to live my life without the fear of somebody going insane while holding a high caliber rifle with a clip that holds enough bullets to kill everybody on a crowded bus. I hear about more people being shot accidentally through their own stupidity or other's stupidty than I have ever heard of crimes being stopped by some citizen that had a gun.

So go ahead and arm yourself to the teeth with those guns you love so much because in the end you will probably get careless and shoot yourself. All it takes is one mistake and being human you will make a mistake. In fact, I am sure you have had close calls in your life already that you may not even be aware because it was somebody near by you and you had no clue it happened.

And as for the "Us" here on Lush I see there are plenty of people that don't count in your "Us" so be careful before you open your mouth to speak for people that can and do speak for themselves.
