Sorry Garza but how can you say that? Ever checked your own words by checking Google for exampledontknow ?
There are many studies which proof there is definitaly a link between violent movies/ games and agressive behaviour/ thoughts.

Here some studies, the 2 last ones are like articles and easy to read, the 1st is a study a bit long, but read the introduction ;) ;

This one is from 2001; http://www.soc.iastate.edu/sapp/VideoGames1.pdf

2010; http://www.ithp.org/articles/violentvideogames.html

2011; http://healthland.time.com/2011/12/02/how-playing-violent-video-games-may-change-the-brain/

halo1-5
Call of duty 1-9
Battlefield 6-7?
rainbow six 1-2
advanced warfighter 1-2
Splintercell 1-5ish?
ghost recon.. Future soldier..
socom
medal of honor
Amnesia
Grand theft auto, saints row, bully
red dead redemption, lanoire
deadspace1-3
Bioshock 1-3
Left for dead, resident evil, zombiu, deadisland, deadrising.
world of Warcraft, apb, eve online, counterstrike, dust514

just off the top of my head ^ hundreds of violent videogame titles in the past few years yet violent crime is down among youths.

"Many people would rather stay at home and play grand theft auto
than go out and steal a real car"

this argument has as much basis as claiming horror movies turn us into cannibals or program babysitters to be submissive to men in masks. It's silly. The fact is violent crime is down at a time where we are surrounded by violent video games, sales are soaring and triple aaa titles sell millions of copies the first day they're released, yet there's no increase in crime linked to gaming. if games had an effect we'd be seeing statistics explode among youths in recent years, violent crimes are down and game sales aren't..
as I said in another post none of those studies show any link to violent crimes, and are biased against games. "Behavior" is speculation at best, when I watch an action movie I get revved up, when you watch horror you get scared, romantic movies make you feel warm and fuzzy or squeamish, yet I don't see sex addicts blaming Ryan goslings abs from crazy stupid love, murderers blaiming the movie zodiac. just as there's no proof videogames lead to any sort of violence, check out the federal crime statistics. The average gamer is about 35 and has been playing for at 15 least years, wouldn't there be a visible impact? dontknow
Playing shooters doesn't make you a marksman, playing adventure platformers doesn't make you a gymnast, but I will concede one thing to you..

tetris TOTALLY makes you better at organization. You got me lol

For what sport do you use your semi-automatic assault rifles? Target practice? Damn, that sounds fucking expensive. Why do you need an assault rifle for target practice? If you want to see how well you can aim, why do you need a clip that holds 30 or more rounds?

That was my point.

I have nothing against hunting. I just know when you hunt having a big high powered semi-automatic assault rifle is useless. These guns aren't used for hunting.

And if you think you are going to use these guns to fight a terranical government, I have bad news for you. They are no good against M-1 tanks, unmanned drones and cruise missiles.

And whom is the "us" to which you refer in your post? You are the only person to which I replied.

"Us" is the audience here on Lush.

Who cares what sport I use the "assault rifle" for? Every year there are international long-range rifle matches that are attended by shooters from all over the world. They shoot at targets from 200 yards up to 1000 yards away. By far, the most popular instrument among these serious competitors is the AR-pattern rifle. There are "action" shooting competitions in which competitors are faced with simulations of actual self-defense scenarios. Some of these simulations call for pistol use, some for shotgun, and some for rifle use. The most commonly used firearm for these? The AR-pattern rifle. I use mine for my own purposes, and my own enjoyment.

And why do you care how much it cost? Is it your money? Although I'd love it if you were to sponsor my recreational activities, I'm not holding my breath waiting for you to make me an offer. One thing you should get over, though, is the idea that these are weapons of mass destruction. They're not. In fact, when our military adopted the AR-pattern rifle as it's main long arm, many critics derided the caliber, calling it a "poodle shooter".

Here's a quick test for you. Which of the firearms pictured below is the most powerful? Want a hint? It ain't the "poodle shooter".

I don't really give a damn about your competitions or which is the most powerful. I just want to be able to live my life without the fear of somebody going insane while holding a high caliber rifle with a clip that holds enough bullets to kill everybody on a crowded bus. I hear about more people being shot accidentally through their own stupidity or other's stupidty than I have ever heard of crimes being stopped by some citizen that had a gun.

So go ahead and arm yourself to the teeth with those guns you love so much because in the end you will probably get careless and shoot yourself. All it takes is one mistake and being human you will make a mistake. In fact, I am sure you have had close calls in your life already that you may not even be aware because it was somebody near by you and you had no clue it happened.

And as for the "Us" here on Lush I see there are plenty of people that don't count in your "Us" so be careful before you open your mouth to speak for people that can and do speak for themselves.

Garza, thanks, so there still is hope for me..I need to play Tetris!

Yeah I knew the articles i used weren't the best (and old) but I was a bit hurryingbook .
I never ment to say that games 'produce' criminals, that sounds like horror movies breed cannibals ;)
I ment to say there is a correlation between violent games and violent behavior/ thoughts, you seem to swap that away completaly in your formal post. Thats why i responded.
I think if you have a twisted mind already, or can easily get a twisted mind, violent gaming can help a lot.

There are, like with every subject which are used for study, studies who tell it does increase aggressive thoughts and behavior, and which tell the opposite...
These are some others (if you are interested of course ;) )

http://archive.news.iastate.edu/news/2010/mar/vvgeffects

http://videogames.procon.org/sourcefiles/Dovideogameskill.pdf

Lately there is published another study which tells there is a correlation, but I can't find the complete article...dontknow i only can find these few words back;
http://yvj.sagepub.com/content/early/2012/10/08/1541204012460874.abstract

But, after reading your comment I readed a bit more about it and was surprised there are so many studies which tell the effects were less then I was convinced from, so occasion5 thumbright .
