So you're saying that pancakes are for ethical, trustworthy people of great character? Also known as Republicans. bootyshake

Waffles are for shady untrustworthy people of questionable character. Have you ever heard a double-talking politician get described as "pancaking" on the critical issues of our time? Didn't think so, super ripped-tshirt girl.

Boom! That just happened.

I just got back from my weekly Collectivists meeting. It's been decreed that waffles are a threat to equality, in addition to containing too much sugar and carbohydrates. From now on, only one waffle per week. Soon, you'll realize that they're not what's best for you anyway and you'll convert to pancakes. Plus, they're better for the environment.

You will eat pancakes and you will like it! Waffles are the product of capitalsits and through waffles they will try to supress us with their wafflegods. Waffles is opium for the people!

For anybody who says no they shouldn't, should men be allowed? If so, why the double standard.

I believe encouraging public nudity just might help prevent morbid obesiety.

I think its ok at beaches but if you're in a city location where it is not a normal practice you will get attention of everyone which might not be a good idea. I would love to go out topless if I fly like a bird :P

To answer the original question, I believe the rights of women to be topless should be at least equal to the rights of men (and more so in the case of breastfeeding where most women will cover themselves with a blanket or cloth of some kind anyway). Having said that, I believe there are places where neither sex should be allowed to be topless. As for kids seeing women topless or adults seeing kids topless, that is just a ludicrous statement. If an adult is predisposed to that sort of behavior, they will find places to see what they want anyway.

I recently returned from a women's only music fest where there were some children in attendance. I thought to myself seeing young girls free to run around naked or topless, and see grown women doing the same, how wonderful it was they were allowed to see that a body is not something to be ashamed of. At the same time, I thought how sad it was that they would soon learn the realities of a woman's right to be topless as opposed to a man's right.

And to answer the most important question, I am not a fan of big fluffy pancakes, I prefer thinner ones or crepes, especially ihop's Swedish pancakes. Overall though, I like waffles better as they have all those wonderful little crevasses filled with melted butter and yummy syrup!!

There is no mark of self,
And no mark of others,
No mark of living beings,
And no mark of a life.

More often than not the women that would go topless would be the ones you didn't wanna see topless.

So I have to explain to my kid why some grandma walking through the park has her nipples scraping the ground? Bullshit.

I don't care enough to go back and find out why this thread is now partially about waffles but...

I support equality on this issue but not in the same way as the protestors mentioned in the OP. I think any laws that currently apply to women about toplessness should also apply to men, i.e., if a woman can't get her tits out then neither can a man.

I'm not really a fan of public nudity in either sex so I think everyone should be made to cover up. Just preference, really.

Strange how we don't see laws about dress codes which don't offer any real danger to anyone as an infringement of personal liberty but do when it comes to firearms.

What to wear is part of one's freedom and human rights, and not to wear anything is one of the options of this question. As long as the person in question, regardless of sex or gender [1], is not risking the rights and freedom of others and the public. (e.g. wearing a bomb vest) it should be allowed and respected. Maybe local dress code could be set up, but toplessness for females should be considered normal.

And after all, the biological structure of both male and female breasts are identical (regardless of level of development) and both sexes have the same potential of developing breasts under the same circumstances (i.e. sufficiently high estrogen level).

Notes:

[1] To my opinion, sex and gender are different concepts, and may or may not be the same. Sex is a concept of biology, which is how one's gentiles form and function. Gender is a concept of psychology, which is how a person recognize itself (To make stuff neutral, I will refer person whose sex/gender is out of consideration as "it") as and how it behaves. Most people, including me, have their genders the same as their sexes, but exceptions exist, like some of those pre-therapy future-transgenders and some cross-dressers.

Sorta the same way I have to explain to my kid that the guy in the park isn't 9 months pregnant?
By the way... I've seen some men with a fine set of moobs hanging out for all to see. I was rather jealous of their size.
Oh and let's not forget the Yeti sitings...
Once, at the local park, I saw (what I thought was a man, but I could be mistaken) a furball. The guy was a hairy beast! I could've braided his back hair! I was thankful it wasn't a full moon, but at least I kept those thoughts to myself.
Live and let live.
And if you have to "explain" to junior why Grandma's tits are dragging on the ground, you might want to brush up on your definition of gravity.
