Near Ketchikan Alaska. Where I lived for over twenty years before moving to Vegas. Yeah, I miss Alaska. Wish my body would stand it, cause' I'd live there still. I am feeling so much better now, living in the 'hot and dry' though, and I am also falling in love with the desert too.

My camera is a Minolta 7D. It's a digital and takes great pics. I also have a Minolta Maxxum 7, the predecessor to the digital age, and these pics were taken with that one. All 35MM film. One of these days it's going to be hard to find places to develop film and I imagine, harder yet to find film. I will miss film type cameras, but digital is far easier to work with.

Here's one from the '920' level at the mine taken two years ago. Hard to describe the beauty in this State.

On my way home from where I work now is this Joshua tree that catches my eye. I finally pulled over and snapped this.

Don't want to hog too much space online, but this one is another from Alaska, I was on my way to work at the mine.

Heh...I had a young lady that wanted me to take some shots of her. Didn't think my wife would approve...but I am tempted. She saw my camera when I was getting out of the pickup one day and asked me about it. I showed her the setup and she started to hint that she wanted some intimate shots. "For your boyfriend or husband?" "Don't have either of those." "Then your significant other?" "Nope. I'd just like some photos of me while I look good. I could make you a pretty good offer for some too." I had to leave at that point. I found myself wanting to take up her 'offer' and knew that wouldn't be a 'good' thing for this ol married man. *sigh*, where was she when I was her age...wait...don't answer that...forget it.

I do love snow pictures and this one is just stunning!!!!!!!!! Living life and enjoying life are two different things... just need to figure out how to do both at the same time to live it right! Woman... GO FLY A KITE!!!!! Take a slideshow walk with me on a walk through the parks of Inner Mongolia, China. Then enjoy the tale of a very traditional day in the life of a white Woman in China.

This was taken somewhat off the beaten track, in a town called Port Clements on Haida Gwaii (Formerly the Queen Charlotte Islands) off the coast of British Columbia, Canada. I know this is a topic for places we've lived/worked before, but honestly, after visiting Haida Gwaii and seeing sights like this one, I'd definitely love to live there in the future. I'd never before felt so completely at peace.

Taking nude phtos is not cheating Curious, just don't lie about it, let your wife know what's up. Great photos everyone!

This is a great posting Curious. The first two photos are my fave's. I seriously need to get a digital camera, I have taken some nice photos when the field where I live opposite my house, the rain had flooded the field a lot! I took a photo of the flooded lake that appeared, but what made it special was the sun setting all bloody redish blue and orange, this was reflected in the flooded rain. I was very chuffed with that photo. I only took it with one of those throwaway party camera.
