Feinstein's AWB 2013

Aright, things are now official. The bill has been released. Here is a link http://www.ibtimes.com/dianne-feinstein-gun-bill-text-list-guns-banned-details-assault-weapons-ban-2013-1037402 . I am not saying something shoudn't be done. Just that throwing a ban at the problem is not gonna work.

It is like saying the kitchen sink is leaking. So we call the city and have them shut off the water to the whole town. We don't want to waste water. So modern plumbing will now be banned. If you have a well then you can pump water out of that. If you live near a lake you can only take two buckets a day. Which must be no larger than two gallons each.

The problem is simple. Nutjobs are going on killing sprees.
Why? because they can. They can kill 2O people with impunity then take their own life as soon as the cops show up.

The answer is look for a pattern. What are these nutjobs targeting? Schools for one. Also that movie theatre, high schools, Safeway parking lot, and more schools. Now what did most of these places have in common?
1.lots of people
2. gun free zones - unarmed people.
3. there aren't plans to stop a gunman.
4. media turns bad guy into a celebrity
5. gunman is nearly always succesfull.

So how do we stop the gunman from killing? Big Brother wants to ban all semi-automatics. Well slow clap for that brilliant idea. Now the good guys don't have the 2nd Amendment. The bad guys are only able to kill 10 people instead of 20.

Is that good enough for you? I think they can blow it out their un-Constitutional ass. I want to stop the bad guys. Not take away our best guns. So again, I ask you how?

My solution is to allow people with training to carry handguns in these "gun free" zones. Let me be clear. This is not an arm the teachers plan. Everyday there are hundreds of people with CCP's and CHL's walking around. They have training and know the law. They are better than armed guards. Nobody knows who they are. Therefore they can not be targeted by gunmen. You don't pay them or supply them. They take none of your tax dollars. If a gunmen shows up someone with a conceled carry permit responds instantly! The cops won't show up for at least five minutes. The CCP is there right then. That person can save everyone's life!

Also if the gunmen start seeing more guns firing back, maybe they stop targeting schools all together. It is possible that if general knowldge of schools change we can avoid the shooting before it starts. Just a theory.

There are also steps we can take in the schools emergency plans. Like actually having a "lethal threat" plan. Does your child's school have a plan? Do you know how they would contact you? What the staff is trained to do? How the children are taught to respond?

Also this ban only fixes the mass shootings problem. It has no other applictation that I know about. Except to disarm the people and keep us from forming state militas. You know the whole second amendment thing? Yeah! What's up with that. Anybody find that weird? That the senator herself said,

" Mass shootings in Newtown, Aurora, and Tucson have demonstrated all too clearly the need to regulate military-style assault weapons and high capacity ammunition magazines. These weapons allow a gunman to fire a large number of rounds quickly and without having to reload."

What does big brother plan to do? Rip up the Bill of Rights. Take away our best guns. Leave us with outdated firearms. We can still protect ourselves from the everyday thugs. Just not with weapons that threaten the federal government.

You are excellent at ranting and it is debatable if you are really a nice guy. Do we really require yet another of these threads? If you're going to continue to stink up our sandbox with new threads to rehash the same old crap, I'll just toss in my two empty recyclable soda bottles worth.

Naked Man Poops, Goes On Rampage Inside SW Florida Home, Shot at 3 Times at Close Range by Homeowner - Who Missed Him!

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A southwest Florida man was arrested after he reportedly jumped off the roof of a couple’s North Ft. Myers home, knocked one person over and then went on a rampage inside the residence.

Oh, he was naked at the time.

The homeowners told Lee County sheriff’s deputies that just before 7 p.m. they heard noises on the roof and went outside to see what was going on. That’s when they spotted a nude Gregory Bruni, 21, from Venice on the roof, according to the News-Press.

Bruni jumped off the roof and knocked over one of the victims. He then reportedly ran inside the house and tore a 72 inch flat screen TV off a living room wall.

As the man yelled to his wife to get his gun, Bruni continued to trash the house. The sheriff’s office said the man’s wife managed to fire three shots at Bruni, but missed.

As the man went to get another gun, Bruni allegedly fell to the floor in the living room and started masturbating. He then ran into the couple’s son’s room and rubbed the boy’s clothing over his face.

When deputies arrived, the sheriff’s office said Bruni fell to the ground, flailed around and spoke – but was not making any sense.

Bruni tried to get away from the deputies several times. In the end, they had to use a Taser on him to take him into custody.

Investigators later discovered that Bruni defecated near the front door and in a hallway inside the residence.

Bruni was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital and put under observation while doctors tried to figure out what he was on.

I'm going to indulge you and your rants with torpedoing your argument about why you should have CCP at schools and public places. That it will act as a deterrent is based on that you actually deal with REASONABLE people. Typical if you or me or someone else had the objective of killing as many people as possible then we'd target soft spots. It's logical. Problem is; most of these people ARE NOT REASONABLE! The fact that they usually take their own lives or go on until there is no way back other than them being killed means that they aren't acting rational. Actions that will cause your own death and it does not gain someone you're willing to die to protect or a greater community are defying our very basic instict of survival. Sure, we might not fear death per se or anything like that, but how many times have you seen rational human beings go do things that have a 100% death risk?

A second thing is that very often the target of choice is due to personal reasons. Columbine incident; the two gunmen went to school there. If I'm not mistaken this was the fact in the latest incident or at least there was a strong connection(correct me if I'm wrong). They go on a rampaging revenge suicide mission to make a statement, a last fuck you to the school they went to. There's nothing rational behind it. Taking innocent lives without any gain at all(unlike in a bank robbery) isn't rational at all. You can't set up things that will deter rational people from doing this and thinking it will work. At best you will have lowered the death ratio, something that an assault rifle gun ban does as well.

And I'm not an expert on your constitution, but does it say ANYWHERE that you have the right to own specifically the weapons that they now want to ban? They're not taking away your hunting rifle, are they? Or don't you consider that an "arm" because it can't really be used for other things than competition and/or hunting?

Internet Gun Enthusiast - shot to death in Georgia.

I'd be willing to wager that many of us have seen this guy's website, with the swarthy dude who speaks with stereotypical Russian accented English, as he test fires many different makes and models of handguns, rifles, ammunition - blowing shit up with humorous, more than slightly creepy, macho, testosterone-overloaded zeal.

The spokesmodel speaks of blowing away people openly, matter-of-factly. "So simple even a child could do this!" - I've heard him saying, while smiling and then both hands/arms holding and firing the AA12 stainless steel fully automatic shotgun prototype.

Gun porn...at its finest or worst, depending upon your point of view.

CARNESVILLE, Ga. — Keith Ratliff loved guns. He built his own rifles. He kept bullets in his car’s cup holder. And on the rear window he slapped a sticker of the Starbucks Coffee mermaid firing two pistols.

“I Guns and Coffee,” it read.

Mr. Ratliff’s passion for firearms made him something of a celebrity on the Internet, where he helped make scores of videos about high-powered and exotic guns and explosives. His YouTube channel, called FPSRussia, became the site’s ninth largest, with nearly 3.5 million subscribers and more than 500 million views.

But last week, the authorities said, Mr. Ratliff, 32, ended up on the wrong end of a gun. The police in northeast Georgia found him dead at his office on Jan. 3, shot once in the head. He was surrounded by several guns, but not the one that killed him. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is treating it as a homicide.

“We are interviewing people of interest, but we have not named a suspect,” said the Franklin County sheriff, Stevie Thomas. “We are not ruling out any options.”

This is the stereotype most of us are sick of seeing @ 3:19 ... Then Ratliff's twitter comment @ 4:15

But hey, he was in bu$ine$$, pandering to people who think they need personal arsenals -- so it's all good.

I've been to Carnesville, GA several times and recently read about the case. I had never seen his website before nor did I know anything about him. Interesting case.

so niceguy93 what should we do? for the last 10 years we have tried not just doing nothing we have done worse than nothing! do you realize that you can sue mcdonalds for serving a hot cup of coffee that you spill in your own lap, ford for when you get in an accident and get hurt, a bar for serving you drinks and then you drive home drunk? but can you sue a gun or ammunition maker? nope - congress passed a law against that. we have the atf that controls alcohol, tobacco and firearms but that agency has been but handcuffed by congress as well. many laws that have been passed to try and control guns in any small way are often gutted, gelded and emasculated by.....yep congress!

the very institution that is supposed to be passing laws that protect all of us but has bent over backwards to pave the way for gun and ammunition makers to act with impunity to make a profit from death and instruments of death. not just sporting or hunting or collecting type of manufacturing, no sir. I am talking about the kinds of weapons that no one would use for hunting or skeet shooting not models that you could collect that are authentic in every detail save that they have been rendered unable to discharge obscene amounts of ammunition per minute. I am talking about instruments of war meant to cause as much death and destruction and mayhem in as short a time as possible. I am talking about ammunition that is designed to stop anything and not be stopped by petty human or even vehicle armor. I am talking about weapons and ammunition that no private citizen has any reason nor right to own no matter how idiotically you look at the second amendment. no matter how badly you want to twist the words of the founders of this country. no matter how much you listen to the out-of-touch fear mongering assholes of the gun lobby groups who ridiculously say we need those type of weapons to defend ourselves in case of any number of cataclysmic doomsday warnings involving a take over of the government.

all I can ask is what the FUCK us wrong with you idiots? we have been trying worse than nothing and when mass shootings happen we mourn, wring our hands, cry, decry the evil people among and then..........forget about it. UNTIL IT HAPPENS AGAIN! the very definition of insanity, trying the same thing over and over expecting different results, is what we have been living! the time has come and is even long past due that we take back the gun control argument from the gun lobby and gun and ammunition manufacturers and reframe it so that we are at least trying to make our society safer.

WE MUST DO SOMETHING! we finally have a presidential administration with balls enough to step up and do just that. I say hurrah! I say it is way past time! I say we stand behind what is proposed and make sure we pass and enact safer and saner gun control laws! what has been put in motion is a good start.

finally, the only thing being banned are the obscene instruments of death and destruction - automatic, military style assault weapons and uncalled for large volume ammunition magazines. period. that's it. no one is calling for an absolute ban on guns. no one is coming to take away your precious guns (cue the hobbit clip with golloum - yesssssss, my precioussssssssss!) and no one is saying this will put an end to every single gun related death in America - to do so would be foolish. even with current safty measures in our cars we still have traffic fatalities. but we have far fewer than we did even though there are more cars on the road. even with current laws about drinking and driving we still have idiots that get behind the wheel drunk. but, again, the laws we have passed have worked at significantly reducing those incidents and the fatalities that occur.

so I say again, WE MUST DO SOMETHING!

Hey Sprite, how about a Hello Kitty AR-15?

It helps to appeal to *all* the demographics of potential assault rifle buyers (and users).
Edited by admin. for being awesome.

This is more than laughable. No weapons you and your fellow fantasists can possess can "threaten the federal government". Take away our 'best' guns? That's just whining.

Growing List of Sheriffs Saying ‘NO’ to Obama Gun Control

Quote:
Sheriffs have risen up all over our great nation to stand up against the unconstitutional gun control measures being taken.

The following is a list of sheriffs and state sheriff’s associations from who have vowed to uphold and defend the Constitution against Obama’s unlawful gun control measures. I applaud these public servants for their courage and conviction.

I would encourage other Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers to add their voices to the growing numbers of faithful protectors of our freedom.

List is at this link. I already know it's inaccurate because three local (to me) Sheriffs have come out against the new bill that aren't on this list.

You already know it's bullshit because "Obama's unlawful gun control measures" is a fairy tale in 5 words. Not bullshit that the Sherrifs are against gun control, but bullshit that there's any actual reasoning behind this particular knee-jerk reaction.

My stance on the whole issue is the same as it's been for a while now:

Quote:
I will bet you anything that if you put selective music by spiritual musicians on elevators and shopping malls there would be less Columbines, there would be less postals, less rape, less crime. When you're stuck in an elevator and you're ready to go postal and you hear "A Love Supreme" or "One Love" or "What's Going On" or "Blowing in the Wind" or "Imagine" you can't fucking do anything stupid anymore. [...] It won't permit you, man. Your molecules obey the sound of divinity. If you just compile a CD [of] "What's Going On," "Imagine," "One Love," "A Change is Gonna Come," Sam Cook, you know, and you play it in shopping malls continuously I bet you anywhere in the world people would stop fighting and stop stealing and stop raping, because molecules obey the sound of divinity. That's just the way it is. Just like, excuse the expression, when you're 17-years-old and you see something beautiful and you get excited, all the blood rushes to your penis. I'm talking about physical molecules. I'm not talking about the sex or the squirming, the giggling, stupid stuff. I'm talking about the order [of things]. There's a sense of order in this planet. If we would consciously go to Seattle, where they program the Muzaks of all the elevators and hotels in the cities, and say, "We want you to try this just for 24 hours. Just play this kind of music, these 27 songs," you would see an incredible difference in human being behavior.

Stop the gun bans! Rant One wrote:
There is not a gun problem. There is not a crazy problem. There is not a stupid problem. What we are looking at is a accountability problem. A lack of integrity in mainstream society. People today have taken laws in place of ethics. When something horrible happens they request more laws to fix what is wrong. So instead of fixing the problem we decide to bury it with bans and legislation. Well that is un-American! There should be at least two viewpoints for every issue. The personal one that includes how you want to live your life and decide what is right. Then the political one that maintains how much control we give to the government. I personally think big brother has too much control. Through ignorance and the willingness to pass on our problems to a higher authority. We have already given up some of our rights. Stop looking for the easy way and take responsbility for yourselves. It says alot that we would spend time and effort in teaching fire safety but not gun safety. There are thousands of AIDS, sex, drugs, and drinking pamphlets in schools. I have never seen anything about gun safety. Firearms are a part of American life. We rely on them for more than hunting and recreation. Instead of banning them we should educate people about them. Take their fears away, not their security.

Now this is my personal viewpoint.

My political one is guns bans are wrong. Who'd a thunk it right, ha ha ha. Ban = no one can get 'em period. We can still buy the real military weapons, look it up NFA 1934 link- http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Firearms_Act but not the semi-auto's? Why not add these "assault weapons" to the NFA. That way the Bill of Rights is still intact. Good guys can still buy what they want. Bad guys no longer have any loopholes. Huh? Why do we need to just ban them and kill the 2nd amendment? Stop the guns bans! Start thinking!

1. Heated debate

2. picture of guns

3. Insults

4. They reserve the right to remove/ban anything/anyone for any reason at anytime.

I guess any of these could have done it. Should be glad I wasn't banned. Yet all I can think of is there go hours spent looking for those links. Lol

Glad I saved some of them in my phone.

Also it is funny, almost twenty pages, most was spent fighting over nothing. I still support gun control, just not gun bans. My issue is with the bans. Ha ha dontknow

coming from australia we do not have access to guns at all,our police are armed and so are the criminals, that does not mean the entire public needs to be.We from this side of the world look on in disbelief when the day after so many innocent kids are murdered the gun lobby comes out to protect their " RIGHTS ".
Okay so you want to rant , well fuck off you idiot, those poor people who had their little innocent children taken from them want to rant to.
The gun lobby needs to start having their kids killed as does anybody who wants to get up on the soapbox to protect their " RIGHTS " those kids had rights to , to enjoy the rest of their lives. What possible reason would anybody want semi automatic rifles for, seriously why ??

Sorry but from this side of the world we just do not get it

You can think I'm dysfunctional. Call me an idiot. Laugh at my tin-foil gun nut ideas. I really don't give a fuck anymore.

Just as long as we can discuss other solutions to a gun ban. How hard is it to have a real conversation? Banning guns go against the Bill of Rights. Period.

It doesn't matter if you only ban half the guns. It still counts. What is so hard with adding these guns... Fuck add ALL the guns to the NFA of 1934!!!?? dontknow

If you don't know what this is, you have not been reading my posts. Which proves you aren't here to debate. Only to name call and mock.

You don't like that idea then think of another one. Let us talk about that one. Ya'll can call me evey name in the book. I just wanna discuss other ways to stop gun violence. Ways that don't shit on the American flag.

1) Anyone who has to state that 'they don't give a fuck' gives a fuck. The only person you'll be convincing is yourself, darling.

2) The post was removed was a reason. This one will be too, in time. Furthermore: bitching, arguing, posting 'gun nut ideas', yada yada yada... is NOT going to change America.

Scenario 1:

Lush members come up with various 'excellent' ideas as to how to 'solve' this problem. The US government carries on as it is. Said Lush members wasted their time (and their insults) and end up whining about how they 'don't give a fuck', 'so and so doesn't even know what a gun IS' and 'so so and so is a GUN NUT'. Lush members do not live happily ever after. Boo.

Scenario 2:

Lush members return to debating pubic hair length and writing stories. Said Lush members lived happily ever after. Yay.

Yay.

Yep, that's pretty much the 'long' and 'short' of it! f-hihi

We should ban liberal leftist nutjobs, oh wait that is redundant. You can ban every gun ever manufactured, distributed and sold and that will not stop one killing or killing spree. If one of these mental cases want to kill they will find the gun to do it somewhere. As far a getting rid of all guns. I am willing to bet that over half the guns in the country are not in the hands of the original owners. So banning guns and taking guns away will never work. Ever been to a gun show, the Justice Dept. would be hard pressed to round up the guns at one gun show.
You liberals need to get a clue and following the lead of the head liberal, is not going to get the job done. Look at all the guns and ammo that have been bought since obama opened his mouth about banning guns, high cap. mags. He did more for the firearm and ammo business than any ten men or a million adds could do. Good job Prez. You are personally responsible for how many million more guns in the hands of the citizens of the US.
