It depends on what you mean. Usually ''where are you from'' means your place of origin - where you were born but location means where I am. So not meaning to be pedantic but I am from the UK but live in CZ. As for heritage it's so complicated I can't be bothered detailing it.

Though I grew up in California, I am currently in Oregon and consider myself a full Oregonian (Since I was born here, just did stay.) This is where I plan to remain (unless I get my dream job, then this will be updated to say I live in LA.
