i have broken outside of my mould in the last couple of days. and signed up for belly dancing lessons... i have to admit i am a little uncoordinated at the moment so it will be interesting but it brought to mind the sensual dances... the tango, the salsa and others... i wanted your take... What is the most sensual dance to you.. where have you experienced the most sensual culture dance and was there a lasting memory that just keeps you wanting more

Congrats for giving it a try. I had a friend that took belly dancing classes. She loved it after she got into it.
I've tried several different kinds of dance and I think it depends on my partner how well it feels to me.

I too am taking belly dancing classes and LOVE IT! Awesome work out not to mention the sensual moves all make it a great experience. Beyond that, I personally have found the tango to be very sensual and salsa, especially anything from Mr. Salsa Geoge! Dio mio I wanna dance :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qPvQjYMiX8

There is nothing like dancing with a woman in your arms. The connection and the energy that flows between you. I am a 2 step, waltz and 3 step guy myself... as well as just the classic "belly rubbing". The crap they do on the club floors now that is just simulated sex can NOT compare to classic partner dancing. There is something about taking your partner's hand, placing your hand on her hip or lower back, looking into her eyes, and then moving across the dance floor... the true emotions and energy that passes between you is truly special.
Sure the tango and salsa is nice too though. ;)

Sure the tango and salsa is nice too though. ;) As teenagers we had to learn ballroom dancing for our ball (your prom I think). it became so sensual with the simple touches the teachers had to call it to a stop...

I can believe that. The energy and "communication" you can pass on to your partner with just the flat palm and fingers, along with your eyes... it is very powerful. And a GOOD dancer knows just how to communicate. And no, people don't have to be professional ballroom dancers they just have to know the basics and do them well. :)
