i received this PM today: Hi, is there a problem with the upload section. Trying to upload a story, but seem to be having some problems! Thanks and yesterday i was told someone had issued uploading a story as well - is anyone else having issues?

Can you PM the details of who they were to Pixie or Gav please, and note down exactly what the problem was.

I'm having problems submitting a story today. Other than it being a comp entry, I've not done anything different than I normally would, but when I click submit, the page just hangs for a while before going to a Lush error page. I thought of saving it as a draft, but I'm not sure how to do that... I can't get past the submit page, which I am assuming I would have to, in order to save it as a draft... Have submitted a "problem" PM, but not heard back yet... Any thoughts? thanks x

I had trouble at first getting "General Error" when trying to submit stories. I copied and pasted from my WP program to Notepad then re-copied to paste in the submission box. And it worked fine after that.

I had problems the other day with my newest story. I went to do it all, and got to the final step, and once I clicked the last button it hung on circling to load to the final part where it says it's been sent to the mods for a good 10 minutes or so. I refused to X out or refresh because I didn't want to send it twice, or re-do the whole thing again. But once it finally loaded it went through fine. That was on the 14th though. I've not submitted anything since.

Gav advises the new auto spellchecker is having issues with lengthy stories. We're working on it.

Thanks! Yeah, I've been having issues submitting longer stories lately, too. It just loads and loads and then goes to a General Error page.

It should be deactivated until this is resolved.
We are getting far fewer error strewn stories submitted, so it definitely has value.

It's been turned off for now, while we look at superior alternatives.
The built in one which came with the text editor software officially "sucks". It has inherent design flaws and can't cope with larger documents.

I'm having problems. Tried to upload both last night and today, everytime i fill in all of the fields and click submit it comes back with an error message.
It isn't a competition entry, just a regular story submission. Any help would be great, thanks x

ive tried uploading again but still encountered the 'general error'. Maybe i should give it some time before i try again, im just eager to get it posted since i havent written in so long :O

Please try one more time. If it does not work let me know so I can get our code monkey on it.
Edit: If you are posting it from notepad this is fine, but if you are posting from a word document then you need to click the the little blue word box then paste it and it will work.
