lush is getting a to be a bit of a joke to many prudes and others that use the power of moderator wrongly. This site use to be a good site when I first joined 12 months ago how ever it is the room mods that use the power they have wrongly that are going to ruin this site. It is a erotic story and sex chat site not a mothers talk forum. I assume the site is to include all walks of life not just gentleman and lesbians. how many other people have trouble with prudish or Spineless moderators in the chat rooms.

Moderators are people. They are not perfect, and sometimes they are not truly suited for the position. But what I have found is that openly challenging the staff and insulting them (and an entire forum), is not the best way to handle grievances.... even if they are valid. It tends to draw fire and then the wolves come in for the kill. It is predictable, and should be avoided.

A better way to handle things is to contact the forum owner(s), or a staff member you feel comfortable with, and discuss it with them; more so if your complaint is the ONLY post you have ever made on the forum. Posts like this IMO should be the LAST resort, even if then. I know if I was that upset about a forum and its staff, I would probably just leave and find someplace else to go that was more to my liking. Now if I had truly invested myself, in time and friends, and there were some serious issues, I would probably try to work them out behind the scenes first though.

Well, that is just my thoughts on the matter..... and that I didn't find the chat rooms in general here worth going to; for me personally. I know some do and I am glad they have that option. :)

If you have a problem with one of the mods, publically blasting all the mods is not exactly a classy way to handle it. If you feel someone treated you wrongfully or that you were picked on or whatever, maybe you should file a complaint through the "contact us" option.

I don't spend much time in the chat rooms, but I know enough of the chat mods to know that they don't go around. .. doing whatever it is that was done to you (you didn't exactly give us much detail to go on), unless you were breaking the rules in some way.

I have also read your profile and you profess to be a Dom, and a pretty severe one. I can see this as well with your post here as well as your profile comment:
Quote:
"hmmmm some of these room mods are so pethetic and on a power trip, you woud think this is a pre school chat site

FKN DIKE BITCHES"

I think you may have a problem with authority and confrontation in general; and lack some basic good sense in communicating your thoughts and emotions. I don't say this as an insult in any way, but a simple observation. You may be drawing the very attention and "moderation" you seem to so detest. I find that to be the case with people who always seem to have issue with the Police as well. MOST people never even TALK to a Police officer, let alone have issues with them. And there is a reason for this.

I would suggest stepping back and self evaluating, and seeing if the real problem(s) may not be the forum or staff, but how you interact with others. You may, or may not, still have a valid complaint... then go from there.

Hey guys, just so you know vaughan69 is not talking about the SITE chat mods. He is referring to member created chat rooms. Let's not get our feathers ruffled. Things are being looked into.

well the prob with this site is you cant tell exactly which mod has used there powers one did actually apologize yesterday for wrongly using powers but then today get a 24 hr band and had not said a word at all. same mod in that room hmm and that's not the first time
I actually know and respect some of the mods they are quiet helpful, so was not directing this at all mods.

Oh ok, that does make a difference to the overall issue. But I think some things I posted are probably still valid. Lwinking

On THAT issue... yeah, room creators have certain powers, and that applies to all sites that have chat rooms that can be created. I have seen some pretty overbearing room "owners" and they have pissed me off more than once. My solution? Don't visit that room. Find another or create your own where YOU can moderate and dictate what goes on. And many times that works so much better. toast

Hey john I like your thoughts and comments I actually have no problem with authority as long as it is used at the right time and for the right reason.

good Point John but a question to you site moderators being Dom I have created rooms before is there a reason they would be shut down.

That's a trivial statement. "I don't mind murder so long as the person had it coming and I liked the murderer and approved of the method." That doesn't mean anything. Obviously people don't mind stuff when they completely agree with it. The question is whether you have a problem with authority when you disagree with it. Otherwise, no information is gained from your statement.

Room mods should be just that. Let's be honest, chat rooms draw skanks. Chat rooms are a meat market. So if one is going to moderate then one should tone down the banter. Dont, get me started. Like any pond, the catfish slip in. In order to be a Lush chat room, one should have to be published 'X' number of times a year, perhaps twice a month. That includes tha site as well.

A follow-up to my previous post about mods and I must be honest. I am new to Lush but not new to chat rooms, although it has been several years since i visited them. If its going to be a sex room then weed the carps out. That can only come from not baiting. No stories published, no abilities to comment or text. Chat rooms are a pond. Oop's did i say that.

wow. i visit chat rooms occasionally to talk to friends. guess i'm a skank? :) and, as for the publishing rule, Lushstories is not just about the authors, but the readers as well; it's about the forums, it's about the chat rooms, it's about the community, it's a place to write AND read stories. having some sort of arbitrary rule that disallows members to chat is a terrible idea.

EDIT: for the record, some of us who write don't pump out stories twice a month - in fact, those who do, are probably too busy writing to use chat rooms so really, why not just get rid of them altogether? :) fish

perhaps, if you don't like chat rooms, you'd be well served to just not visit them? just a thought :)
