Okay, so I know the submissions guidelines say " All stories that contain references to minors will be removed, and the submitter will be banned from the site at our discretion," but does that mean sexual references, or all references? If I write a story where a main character talks to a 15 year old briefly, is that acceptable? There's going to be no attraction between them, the 15 year old will never appear again, and he'll never be near, involved in, or witness to anything sexual.

Children — No one under age 16 may be depicted in a sexual situation or in a sexual manner. This means participating in sexual activity (including body exploration and masturbation), witnessing it, making mention of it, hearing references to it, or being referred to in any sexual way whatsoever. No sexual arousal, inadvertent or otherwise, or sexual activity of any sort (groping, covert touching, sly attempts at it, etc.) is allowed while children are present. Any risk that children might witness sexual activity must be excluded. Children may be included as characters in a story only if all the above stipulations are met.

Hope that helps.

Perfect. Thanks! Didn't want to risk banishment over a single scene... I feel much better now.

You could always make the character a little older too.....just a thought.

The night that changed my life, a four part series of a married man lusting after his co-worker

doesn't need to. as long as the minor in question is in no way involved in witnessing, talking about, being lusted after, or being part of a sexual situation (etc) then it's allowed.

The joke doesn't work if they're older.

That would be a frivolous ban by anyone's standards.

Every day is a school day.

I don't believe in censorship. However Lush rules should be followed if everything is on a level. Unfortunately the scale may not balanced

Yeah, I don't quite get that either... Lush saying what we can and can't put in stories doesn't count as censorship. This is their site. If a neo-nazi wanted to put swastikas all over your car, you'd tell him no, right? Until Lush has their own government in place, they're not censoring by refusing to put up stories. You'd really only have cause to complain if they changed your story without your consent and then refused to let you remove it.

As for the latter two sentences...I don't even know.
