Curlygurly and I were just having a discussion about her potato badge and how she acquired it. Ever since winning that one ugly old spud, she has had an avalanche of potato's on her comment wall... A poxy arsed spud as her avatar, links to cookbooks with 1000 ways to cook a spud, any kind of picture of a spud you can think of, CG has seen..

May I suggest that a different root be given as an encouragement award for any future competitions? The winner gets a unique badge, and the entertainment value of these root vegetables for the winner and his/her friends is immeasurable. Hours and hours of searching for funny looking vegetables on tumblr, yahoo, google, looking for pictures and gifs. Hell, I think CG's spud even encouraged a few friend requests between potato lovers.

I think the next root should be the humble Turnip. I think it's worthy. What do you think?

Speaking of roots... I believe sprite had an interesting take on a little root from the grocery store.
I'm sure half of the Lush members probably giggle when they walk past the ginger... the other half fondle it. evil4

Surely you'd just get everyone who is into golden showers asking for a leek badge.

I already gave up using ginger in my cooking weeks ago when I read Sprite's blow by blow 'how-to' on figging. I see leeks are also now off the menu. Thanks for that G. evil4

DAMN! Here I was hoping for the Royal Turnip Award...... ok Turnip is OUT!

What about the humble SWEDE. Do we have any Swede's here? I know we have a crappy old Norwegian around here somewhere, but that won't do.

How about a Swede instead?

Let's just be clear about the difference between "swede" and "turnip".

A turnip is slightly different to a swede. But a swede was originally called a "swedish turnip", hence Saga being called a turnip.

Trinket, you're missing a few tricks. Why not suggest a carrot, since with all the masturbation going on around Lush, people could probably use a vegetable to stop them going blind (pun intended)? Just a thought.

Are you suggesting that people on Lush should masturbate with a carrot? Or simply in front of the carrot? I'm not really clear on this whole carrot thing...

I'm suggesting nothing. What people choose to do in the privacy of their own vegetable drawers is up to them.

I once had an 80-something year old woman come up to me, in the grocery store, while she holding a huge piece of ginger asking me "What is this used in, dearie?"

You have no idea the difficulty I had in keeping a straight face.

Trust you! I deliberately steered clear of carrots for that specific reason!!! because I knew all the little kindergarden jokes and sniggers would appear and we're all too old for that, aren't we? confused5 So..... I think we can skip the carrots, turnips and once again Saga has singlehandedly crushed my hopes.

Onto the next root. Beet root. Oh is it one word? What do you think of the Royal Beetroot Award? You can't beat a root for an award obviously!

Oh, and somebody left this on my comment wall.......

I want a parsnip badge, for no reason other than I like them. Besides, carrots are far too mainstream. Parsnips can be filthy too.

Oh Dear, it seems The god almighty Spriteness is giving me the hint about thanking CG for a crappy old beetroot! I had better move my cute lil arse and hop to it or my arse will be toast again I suppose.

Wish I could post unicorns and shit all over her wall. THAT would cheer her up GODDAMMIT!

Dear CG, Thanks for the crappy old beetroot that looks like a rat, you posted on my wall earlier today. I will treasure it always. coffee

p.s. LIZZY, WTF is that green stuff you're trying to stick up your nostril? that is not a root, it looks like broccoli.

That's only partially true and you know it! You used cucumber for the front door but prefer eggplant for the back door. Don't even try to deny it either!!
