I just could never get into true Rockabilly for the most part. I do like some of the Clash music that was influenced though.

A few years later, punk got imported in the US where it traded all the glamour for pure intensity. The dichotomy was so strong, they had to label it 'Hardcore punk' at some point. This is Minor Threat, pioneers of the genre along with Black Flag and the Bad Brains. The singer, Ian MacKaye, is a pure genius and one of my idols.

@Nikki703 : Thanks for those New York Dolls videos, they remind me some memories from my early 20's. I thought I was the only person on the planet who knew about that pre-punk band.
