I have noticed over the past year that "racing stripes" and
"landing strips" are getting more prominent.
I went to a nude beach 20 years ago and it looked liked
every girl had a chunk of "steel wool" between her legs.
Ten years ago, it changed to "Where did it go?"
Personally, I like a little bit, but not a lot, because it gets
stuck in my teeth sometimes...

I don't think it ever left completely. Just whatever is in style at the time. Personal pref. what the BF or GF likes, etc.

I do agree its all personal preference, I guess. I have brazilian waxed for sooo many years now. I can't imagine ever growing anything out again...LOL I don't do it for men's approval. I do it because I prefer it that way, and find it makes everything extra sensitive and extra stimulating. I am bisexual, and when I see pics/videos of old-school bush, its a real turn-off for me... But I think every sexual-generation is different...
