I always read the profile of the person I am friending. And I look at what they post in the forums, what kinds of pic are on their page, who their friends are, I want to know something about them before friending them!

Like Shaman, I read profiles, stories and forum posts to see what kind of person they are, and whether we might be compatible.

I ALWAYS look at the profiles of the people I request or accept as friends. I'm a pretty private person, so I like to know that the people I'm going to be friends with are people who actually have interests beyond sex and who might be able to carry on a decent conversation with me. I like people adding people who I know will be able to challenge me in conversation and who I could learn new things from. I like for profiles to reflect that in some way.

I always look at profiles, regardless of requesting or accepting. How do you know whether you have anything in common or anything about the other person if you don't?

Allway it would be rude not to at least take head of what is being said to you and others.

I always do with both asking and accepting. If I feel that a connection isn't there, I don't ask or accept. I'm not here to collect as many friends as possible.

nice answer. I know what you mean, I have found that with another site I joined, collecting friends, what is the point!!! so now I don't go sign into it very much.

David Darling did you really read my profile before you accepted me as a friend?"

Why are you not on here so I can tell you how much love you?

I always read the profile. I also prefer to chat and see what the other person is like! You can usually weed out the creepers right away!

I'm like that, I don't go in the chatrooms so I've usually exchanged pm's.

Being new here I always look at a person's profile, wall posts and anythings else to give me insight to the person. I have no desire to have 100's of pictures of friends. I also do not add someone without chatting with them first. Saves a lot of trouble in the long run and makes for better friendships'

Being a LUSH virgin, I've learn a great deal about people on LUSH by reading every word on their profile before we become friends . I will not accept a friend request if they do not have a profile with information that tells me if we at least have anything in common. With that said, if the person is being truthful on their profile it can offer keen insight into who and what they are truly like. Sometimes reading profiles and thinking you have things in common with a fellow Lushie does not always ring true. I've discovered that by the loss of a few people that I thought had prospects of becoming really good friends with me by what was on their profiles. Looking back at what they did or did not place in their profile often helps to understand why they unexpectedly disappeared from the site, why communication ceased or why we are no longer friends on LUSH. Yes I read profiles once, twice and sometimes three times.

I completely agree with you :)

I always look at the profile before adding as a friend. I don't normally turn anyone down anyways, but it is interesting to read something about them.

I generally always read the profile before as well. I also look at the profile when someone sends me a pvt chat request whether in a chat room or not. I may or may not chat based on what I can conclude from what they have written.

wave In the beginning I didn't understand the way it worked here. I like a profile with some interests. I did not realize that people have several profiles so now I am more careful and selective. It is about the quality and not the quantity. I am very happy with the people I am friends with.

I always checked the profile of anyone who invites me. Men are out, since I'm lesbian. Straight women I check carefully to see if they are at least bi, or perhaps have similar kinks to mine.

When inviting people, I generally only invite other lesbians, or bi women who are clearly leaning toward my side of the tracks. Who needs random invites?

If people post pictures or gifs on my page, I try to respond with something for them.

I'm a pretty easy going guy...if you send me an invite and have either big tits or big brains, I'll probably accept your request.

As to why people accept my requests... you'll have to ask them.

If ya can't beat 'em... pay someone to do it for you.

Accepting friend requests: not usually. I'll pretty much accept anyone. If I have I have interaction with the person, then I typically read their profile. By the messages I get I'm assuming many of these have not read my profile.

Sending a friend request: I don't do it often. If I have sent you a friend request, it's because something has piqued my interest: stories, forum posts, both, something that makes me interested in having further interaction. Then I will have checked out your profile page first.

WHAT! WHY?
Why would anyone have more than two? I was going to say one but I'd make an allowance for a trans or c/d who may take on a different persona. Even in that case it should say on both profiles.
I assume this is for the purpose of the chatrooms and not the forums? It must be a lot of work if it was the forums trying to remember what you've posted and as who.
I have to stick with one, as everyone knows, I'd end up argueing with myself!

Actually, if people read the rules, it's one account per person, not per persona. Yeah, there are people here with more than one account. If you do, we will find out. Just saying..

I always read the profiles. Sometimes more than once. I believe in quality over quantity. My friends list may be small, but those on that list are there for a reason. They have both a meaning to me and an impact on my life
