Okay, usually I'd search on my own a little more before posting, but since this guy got away with it, I'll try my luck.
Could you elaborate on what constitutes a "bad boy". I mean, what is it about the "bad boy" that attracts you. Is it the image? Or is it the fact that a "bad boy" is dangerous? or both?
For example of these types of guys, which would you prefer.
1. A guy who looks, talks and acts like a bad boy, but isn't really dangerous.
2. A guy who looks talks and acts like a bad boy, and is dangerous (ie involved in some sort of criminal activities)
3. A guy who tries to look normal, but is in fact involved in criminal activities.
If this has been answered elsewhere and you don't want to answer it here, that is fine. I'll find it one day. But I thought I'd try my luck.

I'm going to venture that most people aren't looking for a guy that is involved in serious criminal activity regardless of whether he looks like he is or not. Here are my thoughts on the bad boy profiles you mention above: Guy #1: Yes, this is the one we want. When we say 'bad boy', we are talking about a guy with an 'edge'. Someone who isn't 'vanilla', someone who has a dynamic mind, thinks outside of the box, bit of a rebel, bit of a dark side, and someone who challenges us and keeps us on our toes. It's more about edgy psychology, less about being dangerous in actuality (or at least for me it is... I'm not into criminals). At the same time it's a fine line, because we don't want someone who is a jerk or treats us like shit either. There is a difference. The best bad boys know how to flirt well and have a bit of a twisted dark side, which makes the flirting (and the sex) more exciting. Guy #2: I'm assuming you're talking about 'gangster chic' here. And no, this isn't my thing (personally). The guys who look like criminals and are criminals are the ones that get busted as criminals. And you end up going down with them. Not cool. Guy #3: is the definition of a psychopath (ie. Ted Bundy type). Also... not cool. Hope that helps...

Not necessarily. He's just #2 who doesn't want to get caught. I do not like guys who are "a menace to society". How did you get that out of what I wrote? It has nothing to do with society, or being a criminal, or being a menace or being dangerous. It's about confidence, a dynamic kind of intelligence (not just book smarts), and someone that's not afraid to challenge the status quo (in the way that he lives, the way he relates to others, as well as sexually). He's someone that's not afraid of pushing conventional boundaries and needing to play by all the rules (again, I will clarify that I mean the 'rules of life and love and sex'... not the rules of the law). There is no specific look... but probably someone that has his own sense of style, and knows how to work it well. Confidence is more important than what he is wearing. If you're talking about attractiveness... yes, it's a bonus if he's good looking... but a bad boy knows how to work his personality and the image he projects to turn heads and attract attention. If you want the easiest way to understand this... think of your idea of the quintessential "bad girl"... and then flip it. Same thing. If you're still uncertain...
