I have to give it to War of the Worlds. Absolutely Tom Cruise terrible. It was on the box last night when absolutely nothing else was on worth watching

Haven't seen that many I have stayed awake throughout. I would say I expected it, for a 2 hour production, but was disappointed with the Keira Knightly "Pride and Prejudice" version.

But do you consider the "War of the Worlds" to be the WORST movie you've ever seen? There are so many, and this year's stock has been dreadful. I'll post later with the worst one.

Not the worst I've ever seen no. I tend to be very picky in the video shop, so I hardly ever end up watching anything that awful, unless it's by accident on tv. Just seeing who's in a movie I can tell more or less in advance if I'd like it or not. I haven't seen one of these: http://au.rottentomatoes.com/m/rt_10th_anniversary_launch_guide/news/1747789/moldy_tomatoes_the_10_worst_movies_of_the_last_10_years

Fortunately, I've not seen any of those. I love RottenTomatoes. It's a great resource for avoiding bad DVD rentals or purchases. It'll save you a lot of money. Right now, I'd say Titanic was one of the worst and I know Tech agrees. I'll be back with more as I think of 'em.

Agreed on Titanic. I find it incredibly hard to watch anything with Di Caprio in it.

I've been thinking the way Tech likes me to think: long and hard. And I can say any Sandra Bullock movie, with the exception of "Speed". I'll let you know if I think of other rotten movies.

We just rented The Happening last weekend. If Mark Walberg, or however he spells it, isn't in some kind of an action movie, he cannot act. What a shame. I like M.Night as well but, I'm afraid he was a one hit wonder. Almost all of the movies I've seen this year have been bad. Very few were good to me.

"Cloverfield" wasn't what the hype built it up to be. eh "Be Kind Rewind", I couldn't bear to see Jack Black doing the same old shit. Didn't watch it "Jumper" could have been better. "10,000B.C." Yawn. "21" Wasn't awful, but it wasn't great either. "The Ruins" surprised me. I like horror and it was pretty good. "Harold & Kumar" Was a pretty good laugh. Better than the first. And the Geo.W. part had me LMAO "IronMan" I liked it. Was better than I thought it was going to be. (Maybe I just like Ozzy) Fixin to watch the new Indiana Jones this week-end Also didn't see "The Lovely Bones' but read the book. Sad and interesting. "The Love Guru" was ok but would have been better if I was...enhanced mentally in someway. That's all I can think of right now. It's just like the movies that have come out in '08 are sad. Some of them could have been so much better if some extra effort were put in

I agree with all that, Chef. I thought "Cloverfield" was a surprisingly good one, though, for a relatively low-budget flick. Didn't like the stupid ending, though.

I didn't like Something About Mary Oh, yeah...and The Wicker Man. I'm not a very big movie person...it's hard to watch movies when you are addicted to music.

I love movies but, something weird, DH can remember the name and the year movies he's seen came out. He can see 5-10 seconds of a movie and say, Oh that was such and such, 1978 or something like that.
