I don´t know if this as been asked before, but i watched Silence of the lambs again the other night and had forgot how scarey Anthony Hopkins was.
Although i expected him to be rubbish, Heath Ledger was excellent as the joker in the dark knight.
Who is your favourite or scarey film villain?

I really don't like scary movies but AH is pretty good as Hannibal Lector but I also enjoyed Robert De Niro in Cape Fear and Billy Zane in Dead Calm

I agree with Lois, definitely Robert DeNiro in Cape Fear. Also John Malkovich in pretty much any movie he's done. He's just a scary looking man.

I don't find any "scary" villains in movies, because they don't scare me. If I were to pick one, it would be among many in the movie "Snatch". Brad Pitt as Mickey O'Neil, the gypsy boxer, is my favorite villain. But you can pretty much take your pick from that movie.

Imotep from The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. I just love Arnold Vosloe's (not sure that his name is spelled right) voice. Cyrus the Virus (Con Air) & Galbatorix (Eragon), John Malkovich is a great bad guy! Sheriff of Nohttingham (Robin Hood; Prince of Theives {Alan Rickman})

To me the scariest villains are the most realistic. Oh, sure, Darth Vader, Khan, the Terminator, those are all great villains but they're escapist. They don't scare you because they can't possibly exist. Same goes for ghosts and goblins for most folks... But, plain wacko crazy weirdos? They scare the shit out of me!
#1 - Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter in Silence of The Lambs
#2 - Jame Gumm aka "Wild Bill" in Silence of The Lambs
#3 - Annie Wilkes in "Misery"... Hobbling. Need I say more?

Whoever Played the Zodiac killer on Dirty Harry...........goddamn, that is one scary lookin guy! Funny thing is he was doing some other interview and now that he's older he looks really.....well, not creepy. Also.....Freddie Kruger.....I don't know if he counts, but after I saw the Robot Chicken origin sketch I have a renewed respect for the guy. Check it out if you want a serious chuckle: ://nightmareonelmstreetmovie.com/freddy-kruegers-robot-chicken-origin
