Being an old percussionist from way back I like to watch them. I too can hear rhythm in all of lifes noises.

They've been around for years. I haven't seen them. All that banging and jumping on metal bins etc would just give me a headache after a very short period of time.

I've seen them on TV a few times, but I think they'd be so much better live.

IIRC they started out finding rhythm in everyday things. Brooms, matches, garbage cans,etc.
