I was shocked when I heard the news. He was hillarious and so hard to believe he was once a serious dramatic actor. Some of his scenes from the Naked Gun movies are classics

I love Airplane. The Naked Gun. Police Squad (all 6 episodes).
I remember him always playing the straight man on all kinds of 70's TV cop shows. (Yes I'm old). Then he turns himself into this comedic actor.
