Is the "Recent Activity" like a microblog? What notifications go in the field? items from your friends or something else?

It's along the same lines as Facebook, with a dash of myspace. The profile area will include links to all your stories, a bio, your mini blog posts, images, videos, recent activity (friends added, new stories written, your blog posts), forum posts, comments and a kitchen sink for good measure.

The stories seem to be downgraded in importance. Tucked away at the bottom there with very limited space. I think the big space on the right should be for the story details first. Perhaps with space for author's comments - like a blog. Just a thought.

We can switch the components around Steffanie, I'll see what it looks like and get the views of people when we do some beta testing (I'll be asking for volunteers to road test it in the next few weeks or so). The screenshot there is less than half the page, so the stories actually look quite high up on the left when you see the whole thing. Most people aren't going to write much about themselves anyway I'd guess, so the stories will appear high up the page as one of the first things you'll see. The other thing we have to contend with is people might wish to make parts of their profile private, so that impacts a fair amount on the design. Thanks for the feedback so far. Please be super critical, it's best to get these things right from the off

 love the idea sorry i havent got any constructive criticism it looks pretty cool to me happy to volunteer for roadtesting it if you need volunteers at some point

I like it a lot - i think the idea of being able to set the privacy options on individual items has a lot of merit. The layout above is good though, uncluttered and logical. Cannot wait for it to go live :)

Thanks for the answers Nicola. Yes - it's fresh and neat and looks nice and easy to use like the rest of Lush. I bet Gav's in PC heaven doing all this new code.
