It is a partnership. But remember, just because you are a submissive, does not mean you relinquish control. In a D/s situation, though many may think otherwise, the sub is in control. All good Doms (-mes) know that.

want to hear a serious answer? my first instinct is to say 'controlled'. i identify as a submissive, after all, but truthfully? i am always, in a way, in control. that's the appeal to me, i sometimes think - i can choose to give myself to someone, but i control the situation, i insist upon rules, i have a safe word to stop things, i have a lot of control in my relationships, in some ways i am a control freak. not sure how i feel about it, but i recognize it.
 Blondie's been itching to share another adventure sometime soon...

I identify more with being controlled, rather the one in control. I think it is because I more of a submissive by nature.

It really depends are the partner for me. I am really neither about dom or sub, i think the best kind of partnership is a balance between the both. What really makes it perfect is when the two are open about what they like/want and both work to make each other happy.
