No, it's not degrading. There are certain cultures that do see it as degrading and prefer not to subject the 'wife' to giving BJ's (better to use the dirty hookers for that kind of thing). Positions are also not degrading in themselves... it's just a play on dom/sub which every sex act can be labelled as.
