And to further that thought Sam. Remember catching them the first time and watching them in your cupped hands as they lit up?

I remember when schools educated and taught kids how to think.

I remember when. . .
We had car phones rather than cell phones;
The gallons of gas moved faster than the dollars;
The "F" bomb, wasn't used as noun, adjective, adverb, or a verb but just as EXCLAMATION;
They taught spelling, writing, English, and typing in school;
MTV played music videos all day;
MADE IN THE USA- meant you were buying quality rather than cheap stuff;
and dirty mags were the only place to learn about sex!!

There was no internet, no computers in anyone's home and if your parents had a color television set, you were considered to be very damned fortunate, even though you could only receive 3 channels of non-fuzzy over the air network reception.

AM radio was the shiznit. FM radio was only to be heard near the larger cities in America.

If ya can't beat 'em... pay someone to do it for you.

I remember being a junior in high school and eating lunch at this little mom & pop's cafe almost every day. Hamburger, nice portion of homemade french fries, and a large fountain coke. $2.09 with tax.

I remember when all phones were rotary dial. Around here at that time some people in rural areas still had party lines.
