I have done it before and would do it again. Not only is it more pleasurable for a girl to have sex when she is on her period, but I don't think there is a better way to show how much your sex life means to you then to be cool with period sex. If you can get through the messy aspect of the whole thing it is well worth it.

I was lucky to not have issues with blood

Why not? If she is in the mood and wants to have sex, of course. I don't see any reason why not. Even going down on her - sure it can be a bit messier, but that's what a shower is for. Nothing disgusting about it. It's a natural thing.

I have done it before but only during a light period. We used to do it in the shower to avoid any mess which is one of my biggest turn ons anyway. If a girl wants you I say take the chance whether she is menstrating or not. It is meant to be more sensitive for women so the climax easier as well.
