I think most here say .... pop though, if I am having a pop it's only ever a RootBeer or a Coke (NOT pepsi)

Here in Scotland it's often called "ginger", a reference to the exceptionally popular Irn-Bru. We also use the term " a bottle of skoosh" a lot, particularly in and around Glasgow and the west of Scotland

After a few years of bartending (and drinking) I've gotten into the habit of calling it "Mix" but mostly its pop, cola, soft drink and even (soda) fountain - it just depends on where you are What drives me bonkers is when I ask for a Pepsi and they bring me a Coke... the two are NOT interchangeable

Even though I live in the midwest and my whole family says "pop", I've always called it "soda".

I'm actively trying to change the regional dialect. I conciously say 'soda' instead of the more popular 'pop'. One person at a time......

Depends if I'm talking about a particular brand like irn bru I would just say irn bru. If i was talking about it in general I would call it a can or bottle of fizzy juice.

Usually I call it by it's brand name, but if I'm saying a generic term, I'll say "Ginger" or "fizzy juice", though I say it less now because, for health and safety reasons - it was making me a cranky bugger - I've stopped drinking it.

Pop
Unless I'm referring to my favorite flavored-blend of Diet Dr. Pepper with vanilla and cherry flavor shots added, then I refer to it as the sweet nectar of the gods! LOL!
