Have been at private parties with or briefly chatted with: Jude Law, J.Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Ryan Gosling, Ethan Hawke, Clive Owen, Mickey Rourke, the little guy who played Mini-Me in Austin Powers, Courtney Cox and David Arquette, the Backstreet Boys, Staind, Charlize Theron, Stewart Townsend, Heath Ledger.
Saw Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig very up close in a Broadway production in NYC.
And I hung out with Jason Bateman for about an hour, while not realizing who he was because he was bundled up in a toque/scarf - only found out who he was towards the end... GREAT guy by the way and total class-act. I hold him in highest regard.
And add a couple of sports athletes and UFC stars to the list as well.
Most of this has been the result of film festival parties, industry events and getting invited to hotel after-parties or VIP rooms at bars/clubs.

Let's see, as a powerpop fan, I've met: Fountains Of Wayne, here in Seattle, all nice guys. Matthew Sweet, back in my California days, god I would have soooo done him if he'd been interested. Bowling For Soup (although I think they were confused by the 40-ish mother who is not typical of their fans) Squeeze (kinda standoffish, but they all signed autographs) Teenage Fanclub (some of the nicest guys, ever) and virtually every member of OK-Go is pleasant, kind and sweet. I saw them starting out and they were very nice, and I saw them after the big hits and they were even nicer. Put Damien Kulash on my celebrity cheat list.
I met Chuck Berry once as he popped into my work and asked directions.
Several Sharks and Canucks players after games, but I envy any girl who got to meet Ray Bourque!
At a film festival, I got to meet Eva Marie Sainte, Tippi Hedren and Janet Leigh and they were all very polite.

Very cool! I've met quite a few of the Chicago Bears. All the members of Cinderella and Whitesnake. (I went thru a phase, not a whoring phase mind you) Gary Gygax, creator of Dungeons and Dragons, was my neighbor for quite a few years. Very sweet guy.

I'm a man, so maybe I'm missing something, but why? I met Ray Bourque and he didn't make me wish I was gay.

I've met a lot of people in my job, so I don't remember all. I am proud to say that I'm on a first name basis with Tim Gunn (project runway). He is an amazing person and as genuine an individual as you will ever meet. I've met Valerie Harper, Richard Thomas (John Boy), George Wendt (Norm), Kenny G, Sebastian Bach, Frankie Valli, Arianna Huffington, Constantine Mourolis, Taylor Hicks (questionable on the "famous" but a nice guy), MiG Aysa, the ladies of Celtic Woman, Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), Jerry Seinfeld, Alicia Keys, Nick Lachey (and wife Vanessa - she's a sweetheart), Jane Goodall, Siegfried and Roy (back in the day), the guys from the Deadliest Catch, Lily Tomlin. There are more, but I can't remember.

Yes! I've met a lot of people, I go to festivals which are major celeb hang outs so I often bump into celebs! To name a few, I've seen (and been about 6ft away from) Kate Moss, Lilly Allen and Reggie Yates, and met Snoop Dogg, Gok Wan (Who was the loveliest person EVER) etc! Oh, and I have had lunch with Kate Middleton! She's a family friend of ours. How could I miss Kate?!

I have met three. As a child on a trip to Hawaii, we met Danny Bonaduce, this was only a few years after The Partridge Family ended, and on the plane home from Hawaii, Telly Savalas, the original Kojack, was on our plane, and nearly 20 years ago at a mall fan appearance, The Young and the Restless star Jeanne Cooper and I had our picture taken together.

I've seen Kelly Slater, the former world champion surfer, several times. I've seen Melissa Witek at the beach. She was Miss Florida USA and she was on TV's The Bachelor & Treasure Hunters. I also sat in a booth right next to Tim Tebow in a restaurant in Jacksonville. Those are the only famous people I have talked to.

The 2 most interesting were Clint Eastwood, I sat next to him on a flight form Detroit to NY, cool guy, really down to earth and Bobby Orr (former great hockey player), also such a down to earth guy. Have also met Jerry Springer, Chris Meloni, Donald Trump, James Caan, Gwen Stefani, Chris Noth, Howard Stern, David Letterman to name a few. I also met met many NHL hockey players when I was dating one(not anyone famous) and a number of musicians, many before they were famous.
The worst was Kevin Federline. What an arrogant little shit!!!

I would never approach a celebrity because I'm sure I'd bug them and/or say something stupid. But I have had the opportunity to say hello to Louis CK, Sarah Jessica Parker, Shirley Manson from Garbage, Mel Gibson (circa 1998, pre-crazy).

I have met several famous people.
Richard Petty and Kyle Petty- at a charity function in my hometown.
At a Western Film Fair at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina I met the following:
James Best- who played Roscoe P. Coltrane on The Dukes of Hazzard and had my picture taken with him.
Donna Douglas- who played Elly Mae Clampett on The Beverly Hillbillies and had my picture taken with her as well.
The Statler Brothers- the country music group. Had my picture taken with them as well.
In 2003, the place where I work become a prop for the movie Radio starring Ed Harris, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Alfre Woodard. While they were filming the movie, we still worked, but took breaks to watch the filming. Between filming, some of the stars would mingle with us, and I got to meet all three I mentioned. Ed Harris was the nicest guy and Cuba Gooding Jr. was humorous. I actually have no comment for Alfre Woodard. (It's safe to say she left a lasting impression!)
Alexandra Ripley- Author of Scarlett, the sequel to Gone with the Wind shortly before she passed away.
But the person I will always remember meeting most is the late Patrick Swayze. When I was in the sixth grade in 1985, the television movie/mini-series, The North and The South, was filmed in my home state and my hometown, and my teacher took us on a field trip to watch the filming on one of the city streets. My class stood just outside the building where Patrick Swayze was filming a scene. When he was through filming, he saw us standing and watching, and walked over. We were all so nervous, but Patrick Swayze was just as nice and understanding. He let us ask him questions and he answered every one of them and then he signed autographs. I will always remember that. When he passed away, it meant more to me that I actually got to meet him.
"So don't cry to me. If you loved me, You would be here with me. Don't lie to me, Just get your things. I've made up your mind."
