Ah but what if you don't believe in the Bible? I don't so as long as my partner doesn't actually sleep with another person, it's fine for him to fantasise over someone else.

Thanks for all the responses, General consensus seems to be no. I guess that some people might feel the need to hide their fantasies from their partner, but that's an entirely different question I suppose.

I think most free-thinking people would consider fantasizing about someone else perfectly normal and even fun....

However if the person you're fantasizing about is your wife's sister I'd keep that one to myself!!!

Thinking about cheating is no more cheating than thinking about eating some fatty foods when you are on a diet. Thinking about it is not wrong, but doing it is if that makes any sense.

No way I think only an insecure person would consider that cheating and if that is considered cheating then the entire world is a big bunch of cheaters! lol

Shared fantasies are a great sexual enhancement tool. Ann and I do this all the time, and have since we were married 53 years ago. It is fun and gives us both pleasure.

Sex is a natural, adult behavior. One of the intellectual skills that you need to attain to at least a small degree before having sex is distinguishing fantasy and reality. Otherwise, you would have no way to distinguish cheating and just fantasizing.

Fantasizing is sex in the mind - cheating is sex in the body. There is sometimes not much of a difference....mind is often better.

Only if your fantasy is really wishful thinking. Then your heading for trouble.

Is fantasising the same as cheating? Well if it is, I cheat a hell of a lot !

In seriousness, no I don't think it is, fantasy is just your imagination, doesn't mean you're actually going to do the things you think about.

If it is, I'd better stop it or get dumped. I don't think it is, after all they're only thoughts, can't hurt to think, surely?

Nope...one thing no one on this planet can control...yet...is what a person is thinking...my fantasies are mine and mine alone, unless I wish to share them...

Oh my, I hope not, I'm gonna go with, No, if for no other reason, to ease my mind. It's the best form of entertainment, and it's free.

Well damn... I just cheated on my cowboy boots over a pair of killer CFM heels in a store window earlier today d'oh!

Personally, my thoughts are my own. If they start to interfere with my life (or the voices start yelling loudly) well then thats a whole different thing... and meds. *giggle*

Until then I'll dream on about Jason Statham doing filthy things to me. drunken

I agree with Cyberborg ~ there's a distinct difference, otherwise at certain times I'd be guilty of cheating on my husband with my husband. (& those other two guys with him ;) lol)

No Way! I can fantasize of Brad Pitt in me while hubby is screwing me and the result is a stronger orgasm. That is beneficial to both of us and therefore no cheating has been involved.

I think if the fantasy becomes an obsession and effects the way you relate to your partner, then it is cheating. Otherwise, it's just a random thought and fascination which everyone has at one time or another.
