i had two GREAT guys disappear on the same day without a word. i had developed a great online friendship with them as well as had some amazing sexy playtime with each of them. i was gutted especially because they left without a word. thankfully i was/am in communication with them outside of lush (yahoo) and they finally connected with me there apologizing for disappearing. we still are in frequent contact with each other outside of lush which i think speaks volumes about the kind of guys they are. their excuse for leaving...found that they were spending way too much time on here and it felt like it was taking over their lives. pretty brave statement to make and even braver to do something about it. just makes me like them that much more. honestly, i'm starting to feel the same way. love the site and the people but there is only so much masturbating one can do before you realize that laundry needs to get washed, groceries need to be bought and life needs to go on :P

You may be so in love with someone and something comes in between you,
you're not sure why, but it causes a lot of confusing, hurtful thoughts and feelings.
Then you act on those feelings and delete your account out of sadness and despair.
Some may be lucky enough to have a good friend to talk them out of doing so, at
least not until you gathered all of your thoughts and calmed down a bit. Others
may not think otherwise when it comes to deleting their account.

It seems they never really 'disappear' do they? Some Lush addicts may want to appear as clean-living, non-porn watching, marriage loving, reformists - but invariably that's a charade. Might as well just stay in the first place. Smiles x

I hate it when it happens, especially when I have a connection with them. But, now I am on the other side of things, since I just came back after disappearing. I only disappeared, though, because my dad died on January 11th, and didn't get the chance to come on the computer for that very reason. I feel bad, because I'm finding out that people were worried. /: Hopefully I can make it up to them.

Can't say it's happened to me on Lush, but it's happened to me elsewhere.
I no longer hold it against them. At first there was bitterness, now all that's

When I first came to Lush I had trouble finding where I fit in. I always felt like an outsider even though I did try to fit in and find my 'spot'. Then I met someone who was so sweet and understanding and we exchanged emails, some sexy and others not, and I loved her so much, and I just kind of disappeared from Lush, but she was single and eventually moved on and away from me, so I came back.....and now am having trouble finding where I fit in.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh.....Is it one of those cycle things???

People come here for different things. Sometimes it's lonliness. Maybe she found someone and is busy enjoying a new relationship and doesn't need the companionship Lushies provided before that. Perhaps she had lots of free time before (unemployed, out of school, etc) but no longer does.

If I was to ever leave the site my account would remain open until someone closed it for me. I do have habits of randomly disappearing for weeks on end in some places, but I always end up returning in the end. So long as this accounts open I shall be here and if I am off for a month or so don't panic, I shall be back. (Usually after those month breaks I promise to everybody that I'll be more active than I was before)
