I've written 3 stories and a poem. Until my story Danni, I was drawing on my actual experiences, pretty much in the physical realm, meaning day to day life. Danni was something much different, It is a little love story that I felt emotionally when writing it and afterwards even more so. On reflection, I realized I was drawing on my emotional experience, so much so I felt loss and pain.

Have other noticed this phenomena, when writing?

Me, too. It's like the literary version of method acting. I wrote a scene once where two characters were arguing and it took me a little while to calm down afterwards!

Definitely ... lived some of my stories ... but wouldn't have missed the experience, a real learning curve and I do agree, takes time to calm down afterwards from some of them!!

No. I mean, yes. It's like being a method actor. I think.
