A job is a job... its not my life, it just pays the bills... My loves are a totally different thing... and I even get paid for some of them. I'm a full-time, single mom to two wonderful kids. A freelance photographer (ever since I figured out how to use my moms old Fujica SLR at an early age, I loved taking pictures) I now collect old SLR cameras and built my own darkroom to develop my own personal photos. I'm a certified umpire in the summer months and have been one for over 20yrs. I occasionally hold workshops for young kids wanting to learn how to be an umpire and helping them get their certification. On the odd weekend, I pretend to be a rockstar in friends bands, playing around the area in small pubs and bars, singing backup and taking the odd lead.

In real life...I am a constant gardener. As our Devil's Weakness pointedly comments - what we do is not what we are. Usually. Those who get paid and love what they do to gain that wage, are the most fortunate of all. For many of us, the wage earning gig is one third of our lives. Imagine not having ever met the internet. Imagine being so destitute that you had not experienced electricity, sanitation, even a simple mattress. How fortunate are we?

Well, at the moment I'm unemployed, but I do quite a bit of volunteering for charity and when I'm not doing that, I'm getting stoned with my mates.

Radar tech and in charge of a school that trains them. Too stressful but a lot of tradition and pride and extremely smart folks.

I was a CNA back in the 70's, worked at Sperry and Rockwell International for a while, then I built motorhomes for 25 years until they started looking for excuses to get rid of some of the old timers ... It was a case of, 'Bob did the same job for 19 years before the layoff and we can re-hire him for $8/hour with no seniority, so why should we pay you $16/hr?'  So, like a lot of the old timers around that time, I got fired for stealing company property (I got caught walking out with a dozen wire ties sticking out of my back pocket) and ended up back working at the nursing home again.

Questioning my current career path... I have this need to work in shorts that is driving me insane. If I won a substantian amount of cash to suport me for 6-12 months - i would quit my job right now and start a micro - micro brewery.

My normal off-lush life is busy and hectic. LOL. I am a full time student, full time parent and I work part time. Sometimes it it hard to keep up with myself and my writing but I still seem to manage it.

I work with some of the poorest, richest and most educated people in California to create one of the oldest, most romantic products in the history of mankind. I am basically a conduit of cooperation between these people so our common goal can be achieved.
