Self explanatory, but I'll elaborate. I'd like to create a story banner for my latest story and have it as my forum signature but I've no idea how. Could someone tell me how? I want to create on with just the picture but the link to be embedded in it, any help would be very much appreciated, thanks.

It's actually pretty darn easy to create a simple banner...took me a few minutes tops...   I'll have to work on it more one of these days...

I might do that (the review not the story, though I could for a poem, if inspiration kicks me in the teeth). I've got a funny feeling that a might end up using GIMP though.

DM named my favourite. I use a mix of GIMP and bannerfans, but most of my older banners were strictly bannerfans (eg. upload the image I want to far left on the banner and then just pick a colour for the rest and an interesting font). Primarily I like bannerfans to play with fonts. It will allow you to upload any size picture you want so it's great for posters or regular sized pics as well.

Thank you, DD. Once created and saved as a download, how do you get it into your signature line? Should it be in .jpg form?

You can change it by going into Account>>Update Forum Signature; the file should be saved as a jpg or png to your image gallery. Should be pretty easy from there.

On a semi-related note, you know that wee box that begs the question "what are you thinking?" on your profile? How would one go about posting a picture in there?

Go to: Edit Forum Signature in your settings.
Upload the image.
Mark the text([ img]imageurl[ /img], press the hyper-link button and type/paste in the url that it's supposed to link to. If it looks similar to this(without spaces in brackets): [ url=http://www.lushstories.com/catnip][ img]http://upload.lushstories.com/48-chatnip.jpg[ /img][ /url] you've made it. Save and check it out in the forums!

The font we use is trebuchet MS.
Bannerfans.com is really good, thanks for the link DD, saves me lots of time with drop shadows in my image editor!

Hey this is great but im having trouble. when i do ([ img]imageurl[ /img], all it lets me have up is that bar that seperates the forum post to the forum signature... anyone know how i can actually have my picture show up?

Hi, SlavePrincess Have you uploaded the image and inserted the link for it into the coding where "imageurl" is? Are you adding that ( before img in brackets? If so, that could be the problem. Also, be sure to remove the space before both img's in the brackets.
