I'm a bit curious on where people get their background pictures from.

Me, I am too lazy to make my own patterns so far and have found some nice free background websites out there in the cloud.

My current background theme comes from:
http://www.backgroundlabs.com/

Where do you get yours?

I got mine at http://fantasti.cc, which I'm a member of using the same SN.

I was just intrigued by this picture, and the possible story behind it, so I used it as both my av and background. Later I wrote/published a story about it, then its prologue...now I'm writing its sequel.

Oh, I think I'm going to sit down and read them all when the sequel comes!

Sounds really interesting and I love the picture you're using. I can see how it would inspire.

I just choose mine off the web, too. I like nature shots, so my current background is a pretty scene with a beautiful sky.

Desktop nexus

http://www.desktopnexus.com/

It has all kinds of categories and thousands of pictures, and one can select the size of the picture.

Another favorite one is Deviantart

http://www.deviantart.com/

Also many categories and pictures.

And my latest addiction, Tumblr. The pictures taken from my own account.

I was forgetting Picfor.me, which is back from the dead.

Finally, two months after this post, I finished both sequels and put a ending for this 4-story series. Welcome to read.

Mine is a pic I took with a hidden camara in my Love Shack, but my User will tell you he put it together himself.

I usually make mine, unless it's a background with photos.

I like to use photos I take or images from the net that interest me...
Such as country landscapes or old castles...

Well I decided to complicate my life by Googling a bunch of random things that make me happy, and made sort of a digital patchwork quilt. I did it so long ago that I don't even remember how I did it, or if I could ever do it again for that matter. It looks pretty cool when it's tiled, but ridiculous as one big background image.

thumbright Catnip, you're not lazy and I like it, as well as your background!
One of your posts is in my background.
