I always (and I don't know why this was) thought I had to be with girls my own age or slightly younger until I met a girl some 15 years older and she was simply amazing. It made me realise that age as a number is of little consequence. I think age should not be a measure of the number of the number of years you have been on the planet but rather, a measure of how you behave, your maturity, your ability to communicate....

Sometimes, it's good to be an older man, sometimes less so, but what choice do I have? :)

DEFINITELY older. I've chased older men since highschool, and ended up married to a man 11 years my senior. That being said, if there wasn't anything in common, it wouldn't have worked, just like any relationship... especially when I was younger, and the age gap mattered more.

But I LOVE the confidence and capability of an older man, who has nothing to prove to anyone. Sexy as hell!

I prefer older men..anywhere from a year to 15 years older then me. The reason is that I am a plus size woman and I have found that older men have realized that it isn't all about being thin to be pretty. I did ask a guy one time if he would be interested in a woman that he was very compatible with in all aspects except she wasn't thin and pretty if he would date her....he said he wouldn't and I felt sorry for him because he didn't realize what he was missing out on. Plus isze women have a lot to give...usually their hearts are as big as their bodies and older men have finally gotten wise to that. So any of you guys that are over 40....look me up!!!!

No man I've ever dated has been younger or the same age as me. I've always gone for older, be it close or far.. Oldest I've been in a relationship with was 7 years older than me.

I prefer anyone I am going to enter a relationship with to be in the same age group as me. I want to be with soMeone who is into the same things as me, can relate to my life anD experiences and so on.

Now if you are talking just as a sex partnerm, than an age gap is cool.

As for others, its their choice. I dont see anything wrong with a 10 yr difference but when you start seeing a 60yo with a 18yo, that is creepy. Be it man or woman.

Its like the joke. A 35yo man walks into a bar and tells the bartender "champagne for everyone". The bartender asks him " what are you celebrating? The guy replies, " My future ex-wife was born today!

I personally like guys either my own age....or a little bit older. It's not necessarily the age that i like...it's what comes with it. I appreciate a man that is mature and knows what he wants. Personally it's just irritating being with a guy that still acts like a teenager and can't decide on what he feels like or what he wants.

I'm really open about the age of whomever I might choose to date or go home with, but I'm decidedly NOT into ageplay. It's nothing against those who are, it's just not my thing. I dated a girl five years younger than me for a while, and when I was nineteen my girlfriend was thirty-one. Once you get outside a certain bracket, I tend to think it adds a certain amount of stress to the relationship, but if it's what both of you are into then it may well be worth it.

I used to be quite fixated on the idea that I was excited by girls somewhat younger than I am. Then I met (in Yahoo actually) a lady in her 40's and well, she excited me in ways I couldn't believe. I rather believe that we have it all wrong. Age should not be measured in how many years we have been on this planet but rather by how we behave. Take "age" out of the equation and be excited by, pleased by, enthralled by, captivated by somebody because of who they are, how they behave, what you both can share for your MUTUAL benefit

I don't think so... I'd look at a 40+ year old woman who was with a 20 year old guy with a raised eyebrow too. In fact, I think the older woman with the much younger guy would end up far more judged than the older man with the younger girl (which is far more accepted in general).

There are exceptions to everything of course, but I think it's more like - if when you were of legal drinking age and partying in the clubs at the same time your future significant other was in diapers and eating pablum... it just seems kind of creepy.

Well for the other side of the coin. I have friends and dear friends. the will celebrate thier 50th Anniversary next year. She was 39 when they married and he was 26. Yes she was and is an unusual woman and even today most would not guess her age. From pictures I have seen of their early years, nobody thought they were the same age but not one would guess 13 years difference either.

He still idolizes her and from what I have seen every woman in the would like to be treated the way she is.

I would guess that most people disapproved, but they must have said to "Hell with It."

So the imperical evidence says it can work!

The girl who started early at this game of sexual pleasure, This girl that never seems to get as much as she wants, at least from the right people. But now certainly the woman that will test all the paths of pleasure with you.

I've never given a damn about a man's age. If I liked him and he liked me, we went out.

I know that this is a question about dating / sexual partners but in my social circle, my youngest friend is 17, whilst my oldest friend is 83. The 83-year-old was the one who got me and my BF into Gin and Tonic - bless him!!

When I was younger, I was much more attracted to older boys/men...even married an older man (and divorced!). Now that I'm the one that's older, I tend to be more attracted to younger men. Having said that, it also depends on the man and his character. It takes a lot more than a cute smile and a great body to capture and hold my attention. Age is irrelevant with the right man.

When I was younger I was attracted to any woman that was worthy challenge the greater the challenge the more desirable a woman was either married or single didn't matter. Now I am older the same still applied except it is all done here on lush. In real life I have not strayed at all from my marriage. Here I don't consider it cheating as I give pleasure not take it.

Older, but it really doesn't matter. My boyfriend is 28 my senior, and my girlfriend is 7 years my senior, but I have had crushes, and been in relationships with people younger than myself as well.

I prefer guys somewhat close to my own age - ideally somewhere within a 5 year age-bracket (older or in rare cases younger can work too). Nothing more than a 10 year age difference. Yes, I have tried the 'older guy' thing once, and it wasn't my thing.

Old men with 'ageist' attitudes who only prey on significantly younger girls totally creep me out. If they claim 'age is just a number' then why don't they ever consider dating someone their own age? There's nothing that sobers me up faster in a bar then the approach of the "trying desperately to be cool enough to date you" greying daddy/grandpa who thinks his cash will sway you into forgetting he's twice your age. Blech... lol

I agree with ya here DD. To me age isn't just a difference and there should be a common sense gap that is like okie that's to much of a gap. I personally think anything over 10 years apart either way is pushing it. I don't care how old you are. It's just grosses me out at that point. The oldest I've done is 3 years difference.
